Many of these quotes reference the IPCC or Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which is widely regarded by mainstream scientists as either the "most reliable" or one of the most reliable sources for accurate information on climate change. As you will notice, the evidence against the consensus critics like Lindzen and pundits on Fox News is overwhelming. If you are confused as to whose opinion matters, just pay attention to the peer review science journals and the National Academy of Sciences. For those that don't know, the National Academies are like the Supreme Court of science. The number of climate scientists in the US can be found by examining the members of the American Geophysical Union (AGU). As of November 10, 2006 we know that there is a minimum (no official count of foreign climatologists is available) of 20,000 working climatologists worldwide 1,2. An important fact to remember is that many high profile critics you see in the news do not qualify as climate scientists when these standards are applied. Keep both of these concepts in mind the next time you see a handful of self proclaiming "climate scientists" with dissenting opinions. It is also important to note that Exxon Mobil is funding a $10,000 bounty for climate denialists and skeptics. If only 2% of the 20,000 climatologists were bought out then we'd have 400 deniers (skeptics are convinced by science not money). An you are a damned fool. No, I do not hate our current system. But I do think that we need to bring it into the twenty first century.

I very much admire men like Gates and Buffet. And very much hold the men that have been pulling down salaries and bonuses in the tens, sometimes hundreds of millions of dollars, while destroying the very system that made them wealthy.

I have profited, and continue to profit, off of our system.

And I see the ways in which our system must change if it is to continue to exist.

As for politics, they did not increase the GHGs to the point they are today. The burning of fossil fuels did that. However, the politics of people like yourself is such that you deny reality. That reality is that our actions are changing the climate in a negative way. We have to prepare for the consequences of what we have already done, and stop doing the things that will make the situation worse.

No, that is not what the data says. What the data says is that we had a very warm year in 1998, due to one of the strongest El Ninos on record. But that 2005 was either nearly as warm, or slightly warmer, depending on the data base.

The north polar ice has not been increasing in the last two summers. The surface coverage was more in 2008 than it was in 2007, but the volume was less. The volume has not been calculated for 2009 as of yet, but it would hardly surprise me to see a continued decrease.

Now 2010 looks to have a medium to strong El Nino in the works. With a low solar activity year, that is, a low Total Solar Irridiance. So if 2010 is nearly as warm, or warmer, than 1998, then the 'cooling' nonsense is blown to hell.

Farmers, workers, and whole communities suffering because the water pours into the ocean and not the crops. I'm the damn fool??? First off asswipe I never have said ANYTHING about AGW, moron, pay attention. Second I race boats not cars, (we burn about 2.5-3 gallons of gas each weekend) this year I cut it down from 12 races to 4, and I drove my tow rig 590 miles total for 2009 and I also just suspended the insurance so it wont move again until next spring. Try again idiot...
