The GOP establishment ran 40,000 ads in the 2014 election promising to defund Obamacare and Obama's executive amnesty then the first thing they did after the election was fund both of them. They are liars, its possible they are worse liars than Obama.

They have since stymied nearly every conservative amendment and cause. They throw in with Democrats and shit on conservatives pretty frequently. They mock us and bad mouth us. Yet without us they would not be in power.

So why vote for them? Just because Democrats are worse? I'm not sure that's a good enough reason anymore.

Yes, why I left the party in 1990. They have repeated that formula many times. There was W getting the first Republican Congress and Senate in my lifetime and gong on a spending orgy. At this point I wonder how any Republican can say with a straight face they think Republicans are different than Democrats. Or vice versa as Obama like Clinton said we overused our military while continuing their predecessors strategy. The Republicans and Democrats are frick and frack, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the Wrigley Gum twins, same thing, different day

The country is headed for financial disaster with no signs of changing course. This borrowing $18 trillion dollars to live high on the hog and sticking future generations with our bills sickens me. I think future generations stuck with the $50 trillion dollar debt will look back and say man, those people were real assholes.

So far the republican majority in congress is doing a pretty good job identifying about a hundred scandals in the Hussein administration and holding taxes down while keeping Americans secure from another terrorist attack and preserving the 2nd Amendment. Was there something else about the "base"?

Does all the accomplishments you listed explain the huge drop with the GOP's standing in the latest new Pew Research poll? The GOP is at a 18 year low! All the GOP has accomplished is waste tax payer money on unproductive witch hunts, broke their campaign promise to help the Middle Class and pass the repeal of the death tax which only benefitted 0.02% of Americans and all in the Top 1%.

With two parties with virtual identical policies, they spent a tiny fraction of a percent different, they follow the same military policies, the same social policies. The base, those that believe in small and efficient government and personal responsibility, has been left by the wayside. The truly sad part is that the democrat based, the ones that believe in social welfare and governmental oversight, have also been left out in the wayside but have not noticed at all.

Look at the ACA - a massive handout to the insurance companies that was unnecessary but vehemently defended by the left. It is completely against their ideals. So was the bailout - another idea defended by the left.
