[Old Rocks]

Well, the last Uncle I had that had served in combat in WW2 is gone. He was 91 or 92, so it was not unexpected. But it serves to remind we who are their children and relatives what kind of hell they endured for this nation. He never talked of what he did, other than to say that he prayed to the Lord to let him survive, and promised within his soul to be a minister if he made it home. He did, and was for many decades. He went in on one of the first waves in Okinowa. And fought the whole campaign. Now he and the rest are gone, memories of men that served beyond that which most of us can imagine.

Mine left long ago......They never would talk about it either, and I never pushed the issue....I had one Papa that was in WWI....too old for WWII

Bless them all. They fought so we could be here today. May they rest in peace.

I'll tell you what, when the politicians did something they did not like, they collectively petitioned them with redress in mass....
