Yes, I am.

Longest tenure at a job was 11 years that I was in the military.

Next longest was six years at my last job, until they fired me when the managers ran the company into a wall. I was let go because despite getting awesome reviews every year, I had run up 50K in medical bills, and oddly, they let go anyone who was older or had medical issues that year. (Totally illegal, btw.)

So, yeah, I'm done with these liars and their bad behavior. I was done when my last boss decided to redefine my job so he could create a job for the daughter of some friend of a manager. His excuse, "Well, good thing this isn't a union shop, and I can make decisions."

Yeah, well, my dad was a union guy, who worked hard, raised five kids to be solid citizens, before he died of lung cancer caused by asbestos some corporate asshole said was totally safe.

And this asshole's decision took the Chicago branch down from 70 employees in 2006 to about 25 in 2010. The few of my friends who still work there are miserable, because they are working 60 hour weeks.

Never worked for an employer who didn't outright lie to me. No reason for me to be honest with them.

Actually, I get a job offer about every other week, and I don't even have my resume out there. I usually turn them down. Mostly because there's a few things I want to accomplish where I'm at before I move on, which I will probably do in the next year.

If you were to eliminate capitalists and investors, and run everything by democratic vote, the odds are that the first order of business for the body politic, would be to eliminate you from the enterprise. Your problem is not "socialism" or "democracy", it is ignorance.

Most business enterprises require up front money to build the infrastructure, purchase the necessary materials, and hire a workforce. That money is called capital, and it does not come from thin air. Capital has to be obtained from either private investors, or from government. Millions of individual investors, operating in their own best interest, are much more efficient in the proper utilization of available capital, than government bureaucrats could ever be.
