So my daughter just moved to Atlanta and they had a tornado warning today. Well she grew up in Arizona where such things don't exist so she calls me from school in an absolute panic. So I try to calm her down and tell her it's just a windstorm and she has seen windstorms before like in Arizona when we would get a haboob. Ok...note....I understand that there's a hell of a difference between a tornado and a haboob but I was watching the news and the area she was in was probably safe so I was just trying to calm her down. So she tells some of her classmates about haboobs and brings up some video on her phone and they are in the background saying "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" I had to laugh because a haboob looks terrifying but it's really nothing more than a lot of wind and sand in your eyes. Its bark is far worse than its bite. Still looks awesome though don't you think?
