the consensus here seems to be that criminal druggies do not deserve statutes in their honorLet's say he wasn't a good person, so you think Chauvin murdering him in that manner is ok.
Who made him a Saint? No but making him a saint is not a good idea.Let's say he wasn't a good person, so you think Chauvin murdering him in that manner is ok.You have to wonder if Chauvin was more served up as a scapegoat for the Progressive Socialist agendas or guilty of an offense. The bottom line is that Floyd was not a good person.

There are no statutes honoring American historical figures for being slave owners
Men like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Robert E Lee are beloved for their many other accomplishments
George Floyd was just a dirtbag who resisted arrest

OMG they put a WHITE sheet over the statue!!!
Robert E Lee was a fine solder and the most respected general on either sideRobert E Lee was a traitor
The purpose of the statue literally serves no purpose.
It's a no win situation for either side.
One side hates it being there and the reason/s that led to it's erection.
The other side will have to endure it being constantly vandalised and criticised.
Then there's a side in the middle full of good but naive people who didn't like what happened to Floyd and hurt/horrified at the damage to a statue of a "murder" victim.
What good has come from this stupid statue? it's a lose-lose-lose situation.
