Gay marriage advocates, on the wrong track?

While this is true, those folks are doing OK compared to the large number of people living in 1859.

1930? 1859? Some of us would like to back much further than either of those dates, like to the 12th or 13th Centuries; though I'd take 1859 or 1790 as acceptable compromises if necessary.

That's one hell of a business! To determine through his own warped sense of "morality" how to save society from itself! I know of no mortal man qualified to speak as the moral arbiter of society, let alone someone whose ideas about women and homosexuals is so hateful. Perhaps he should just concern himself with himself and let freedom ring.

Don't you have a toilet to inspect or something? Go improve the commodes in your city.

Why don't you take your own advice. You're only contributing hate to the board.

Why don't you go soak your head?

a bit over 1 in every hundred households in Vermont is a gay couple and so far the institution of marriage has survived.

(though, to be fair, it's becoming more difficult to get married b/c most of the catholic priests have been fired)

a bit over 1 in every hundred households in Vermont is a gay couple....

Which is why I avoid the State, it's citizens, and the businesses that are located there as much as is humanly possible.

That same issue is part of why I'm working on getting out of New England ENTIRELY, as quickly as I possibly can.

Based on the beliefs you post here, I can say with all sincerity: Please leave soon, and don't let the door hit ya in the ass.

As soon as I can find a job in the area of Pennsylvania I'm looking at, I'll be gone in less than half a month. I'm already about 90% packed and ready to go.

Trust me, as a New Englander whose family helped found this nation..... My family is leaving New England about as fast as we can at this point. Very few of us are interested in continuing to live in the cesspool that the New England states have become. The only exceptions seem to be the family members who live in New Hampshire.

That "cesspool" happens to be a group of states with some of the highest incomes, most education and lowest unemployment. It also happens to be a region of tolerance, which I understand isn't your interest.

why are you so repulsed by those that think differently from you that you feel the need to completely turn your life upside down?

Why do you have such an aversion to diversity?

I was brought up in a world of homophobia....gays were called queers and you got kudos for calling them queers.
Then I grew up and, to be frank, never really thought about who was or may be gay.
I usually find out later in the friendship during casual conversation..

And you know something?
They dont bite...they dont have horns....they dont smell funny.

But ALSO...they dont judge...they are sincere....they are normal.

Dont get me wrong...I hate change.....but someone elses sexual preferences have absolutely no affect on my life...and guess what....appparently MY sexual preferences have no affect on their lives.

Financial "Success" is not the measure I use when I look at an area. I'm probably going to end up taking close to a 25% pay cut to make this move. It will also cost me more to live down there (beacuse of the sweet deal I have here currently). This has nothing to do with financial success. It has to do with Right and Wrong, two things that New Englanders have conveniently forgotten about in the last century and a half. I'm surprised we haven't had a major earthquake around here from all the gyroscopic spinning the Men and women who founded this part of the country must be doing in their graves as they see what we've done to their society.

I have no problem with Diversity. There are two diverse sides to anything.... Right and Wrong. They're about as diverse and divergent as you can possibly get.

Three things I can most definitely live without, Jarhead.

it is your perogative to feel as you do about anything you want.

But I have learned that accepting those that think differently results in a more relaxed AND informative life.

I cant imagine how boring life would be if I only experienced what I know and how I think.

I must beleive it stunts personal growth and development.

He says the same thing every time i show how stupid he is, which is both easy to do and happens quite often. It's his only retort and it's tired. Pity him in his ignorance.

I'm sure Vermont is delighted....another win/win situation right there.

My guess is Vermont is neither sad OR delighted. My guess is Vermont doesnt notice him nor care if he exists or not.

Don't worry guys, history will treat homophobic bigots the same way it's treated every other type of bigot in this country. They'll be left in the dust, it's already begun.

Gay marriage will soon be legal nationwide, our kids will condemn us for not doing it faster and it won't even be an afterthought for our grandkids, it'll just be a normal thing like any other marriage.

And the gay agenda will have won out.
First it's permissable. Then it's mandatory. Get out the KY, friend.

But before you go writing history before it happens keep in mind gay marriage has been a ballot box loser.

No, the agenda of non-bigots will have won out, much to your dismay.

No gay marriage will never be mandatory, nice fearmongering though.

5 states allow gay marriage, soon to be 6, that number was 0 a decade ago.

The bigots, like they never have in this country, won't win this issue either.

Exactly. Hence why he is in his 30s and still lives at home and has never had a girlfriend. He's mentally unstable. Simple as that.

So what? It's a civil rights issue and no one's going to able to stop it. It's best to just mind your own business, because it'll be shoved down your throat until you choke on a shoulder. No apologies, just as blacks didn't need to apologize for sitting in the front of the bus or ordering lunch at a "white" eatery.

Gays are everywhere. Running won't do you a bit of good.
