After it was revealed in federal court that Fox Noise’s Sean Hannity was the previously undisclosed third client of the idiot trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, Fox Noise finally put out their Nothing To See Here statement on Tuesday afternoon.
While FOX Noise and Hannity’s audience were unaware of his informal relationship with Michael Cohen and were surprised by the announcement in court yesterday, a FOX spokesman explained management had “reviewed the matter and spoken to Sean and he continues to have our full support.” This was reported by NPR’s David Folkenflik.
Hannity, who operates in the nebulous space of opinion journalism but claims he’s not a journalist when it serves him, never disclosed Cohen was his lawyer. He chose to omit this tidbit of truth while spewing his on-air criticism of the FBI’s raids of Cohen’s office, and his pronouncement the raids represented an “unprecedented abuse of power.”
Since the reveal, noted Fox Noise ghouls like Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham have predictably closed a tight circle around Hannity to deflect criticism of their beloved son. Now the official Fox Noise line reaffirms that Hannity “continues to have our full support.”
With all the weeping and wailing by conservatives, the gang at FOX Noise, and the other right wing propaganda merchants over the FBI’s raid on Cohen, the Mueller investigation, Comey’s book, etc., they should consider the Shakespeare line, "Methinks thou dost protest too much". After all, whenever a law enforcement agency, prosecutor, special counsel, or congress is investigating a Democrat, Republicans and their loyal conservative followers say, “ If the person being investigated has nothing to hide, why should he (or she) worry?”
However, when considering the double standards conservatives employ in most issues, all their screaming and hollering since the idiot trump and his corrupt swamp rats took up residence in the White House is understandable. And this is especially true for the ghouls at FOX Noise. Were the purveyors of right wing propaganda at Fox Noise to suddenly show an ounce of journalistic integrity, their entire audience would evaporate and the company’s doors would close permanently.
Also, if FOX Noise goes away, the idiot trump would lose the only “advisers” and “yes-men” he trusts.
