Biden's speech (watch in full here, or read transcript here) was both a warning of the fragility of our nation's freedoms, and a tribute to its resilience.

Naturally, the reaction from Trump's Ministry of Propaganda, aka Fox News, was a perverse distortion of reality.

"He took a couple potshots at this network, which more people in America watch than any other network in the country."

First of all, Fox News is not watched by more people in America than any other network. All three broadcast networks have more viewers than Fox. And the only reason that Fox News ops the list of cable news networks is because it is has an effective monopoly on the conservative audience, while all of the other networks divide the remaining viewers.

Fox's approximately three million primetime viewers are less than 1% of the nation's population. And no political leader should feel compelled to "unify" with a small television audience comprised of extremists who believe lies so flagrant that the network settled a defamation lawsuit for 3/4 of a billion dollars for deliberately lying.

The network or proven liars, that continues to lie, because their format is lying, and that lying cost them $780 million so far, which another $2 billion could be awarded to another victim of their lies, which has to make any normal person not easily led around by the nose, because nobody could possibly be that stupid, could continue watching knowing they are liars.

Were it not for FOX you would look around and wonder where the fuck all these Hispanics are coming from.

It's not like other networks are covering the invasion on our southern border to much extent at all......Why? Because they are in the bag for the dems.

All mainstream media are liars and propagandists for the establishment. If you don’t know that by now, you never will.

Secondly never believe a word said by politicians, particularly a fool like Joe Biden.

Oh gosh. I see we're still hosting DailyKos's topical user content.

Do you think they'd let me create an account over there and post USMB threads as topical content?

You don't link that quote, so there is no way to verify its accuracy.
First of all, Fox News is not watched by more people in America than any other network. All three broadcast networks have more viewers than Fox.
My guess is that they specified cable networks, or that it was obvious in context. Democrats love to truncate quotes to completely change what they speaker meant, and then act shocked that the speaker would say such a thing.

Plus, you're wrong. Fox has already surpassed ABC, and it approaching CBS and NBC. This is an incredible accomplishment, given that the three licensed networks, plus PBS are given free in incredible gift - a monopoly on the nation's airwaves. Unlike Fox, they are able to broadcast no-cost programing to viewers, and do it at no cost to themselves. The should be beating Fox as badly as Fox is beating MSNBC, CNN, and the other Democrat Party mouthpieces.
And the only reason that Fox News ops the list of cable news networks is because it is has an effective monopoly on the conservative audience, while all of the other networks divide the remaining viewers.
Really? Who granted them that monopoly? Who told the other networks, broadcast and cable, that only Foxnews is allowed to ever have a real conservative voice, or libertarian voice, or any other opinion other than the straight Democratic Party line?

Nobody told them that, that's who. They decided on their own to become official media for the Democrats and the Deepstate. That's why they have been hemoraging viewers, the broadcasters seeming keeping only those who cannot afford cable, and the cable networks dividing the Democrat base, just as you said.

But it is NOT a monopoly. MSNBC could hire one real conservative for that morning Joe show. They could even have panels that reflect the political makeup of America. Imagine that. CNN could stop leading every "newscast" with the Democrat talking point de jour, ending with a rehash of that same talking point, and filling the show with more Democrat talking points, along with stories of Hamas victims in Gaza that blame their suffering on Israel.

The fact that you take seriously - and quote - a "news" organization that uses the term "Fee-fees" in a headline speaks volume of your understanding of journalism. If Foxnews audience is only 1%, how much is MSNBC's?

So, if all Foxnews viewers are only 1% of the nation, how do you explain Donald Trump being the frontrunner for president nationwide? Obviously, it is a lie that Trump voters are heavily influenced by Foxnews, if the overhelming majority of them don't ever watch Foxnews.
I don't doubt that a lot of lies are broadcast on Foxnews. The same is true for CNN and MSNBC, and the alphabet networks, especially PBS.

I blame the journalism schools, who no longer seem to be teaching the principles of journalistic ethics and professionalism.
