Fossil fuel production on federal land at lowest level in 9 years.

Not true, he boast about oil production, but those where started under GWB on PRIVATE LAND!

He has done everything to stifle drilling on public lands for 3 years and that is why oil prices are where they are!

But Obama portends to tell us that there's NOTHING he can do to change it...but now pretends that HE was ON with the Pipeline?

He's desparate...panicked.

He was with it. The kansas govenor asked him to stop the pipeline till they could make sure the water would not be affected..
seriously get an education you retard.

You might want to take your own advice, PlasticBalls, it was Nebraska, not Kansas.

And it's spelled governor...

From the same source as the OP:

U.S. petroleum product exports exceeded imports in 2011 for first time in over six decades

U.S. crude oil imports during 2011 fell to their lowest level in twelve years and were down 12% from their peak in 2005, as higher domestic oil production and decreased consumption of petroleum products reduced American refiners' purchases of foreign crude.

Amazing how dumb some people are. Pull up some data that combines oil, natural gas, and coal on public lands, to make the claim that Obama is lying. Obama isn't the liar in this case, it's the posters here and FOX.

Oh good grief Plasma, the issue everyone was screaming about was the Ogallala Aquifer.

It has 23,000 miles of pipeline already across it. Trans Canada was only going to put a tiny portion of Keystone III across Nebraska'sportion of the Ogallala Aquifer.

Here's the part that really counts.....:D

There's already 2,000 + miles of pipeline across Nebraska's portion of the Aquifer.

It's all a plate of hot and steamy fecal matter served up by Obama and his Administration.

All bullshit. And they've been caught out. And Trans Canada squeezed Barack's testicles really hard and are proceeding with Keystone Phase III from Cushing.

Obama looks like a complete fool. And I love it.

What? I thought that Obama said oil production is at the highest level in 8 years.

I guess it is, if you count the stuff Obama has no control over.

Production and sales of fossil fuels from Federal and Indian lands can be influenced by a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, Federal leasing and regulatory policies. Total sales of all fossil fuels produced on Federal and Indian lands, which are measured in terms of British thermal units (Btu) to allow for aggregation across all fossil fuels, rose by about 1 percent between fiscal year FY 2009 and FY 2010 and dropped by about 6 percent between FY 2010 and FY 2011 (Table 1).

Drilling is up nationwide?

And I can go to a Federal Park and not see a drill?

Ok.

QW simple question here. When we can uncover their blatant lies so easily, why do they bother lying?

Are they living in an alternate universe? They must be. I find it most bizarre. It's not even a matter of the Administration "hyping". It's flat out and out lying.

They lie because they know their followers a) won't bother to check for themselves, and b) are too frothingly partisan to believe anyone else when it's pointed out to them.

I like this article. The author doesn't mince his words. Straight from the hip. And his piece covers stats on all fossil fuels. Check it out.:D

Salazar Lied About Oil Production on Federal Lands
By Jim Geraghty

Yesterday I pointed out that the production of fossil fuels on federal lands is down from fiscal 2010 to fiscal 2011 (October 1, 2009, to September 30, 2010, compared to October 1, 2010, to September 30, 2011).

This is significant because the administration is . . . well, lying. Not long ago, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said, “The fact of the matter is we are producing more from public lands — both oil and gas, both onshore as well as offshore, than any time in recent memory.”

Not only is Salazar wrong, he’s wrong for every type of fossil fuel produced on federal lands.

Crude-oil production? Down from 739 million barrels to 646 million barrels in FY 2011.

Natural-gas production? Down from 5,415 billion cubic feet (Bcf) to 4,859 billion cubic feet (Bcf) in FY 2011.

Natural-gas plant liquids? Down from 115 million barrels to 111 million barrels in FY 2011

Coal production? Down from 478 million short tons to 470 million short tons in FY 2011.

Taken altogether, the total amount of fossil fuels produced from federal land hit 18.6 quadrillion British thermal units (Btu), lower than every year since 2003.

Would you like to disprove his figures? Or the OP's figures? Or anyone's figures that contradicts the numbers Obama or Salazar are spewing?

By all means, please do so.

All that bullshit shows is that the oil monopoly has chosen to cut production. The only oil producers the oil monopoly does not control are the small independent oil producers on private land. The independents have increased oil production while the monopolists have cut production.

If you want more oil from federal lands, simply threaten to nationalize all CAPPED wells on federal land. The oil monopoly will pop the caps and pump the oil immediately!

Private drilling is up, gulf drilling is up. Our importing is down 10%.
Federal drilling is down.

Stop cherry picking.

Gotta love it. "Stop cherrypicking the stuff he lied about, and talk about other things entirely!"

Must suck for your Messiah to be a lying sack.

The president is right, and you are full of shit.

The President is full of shit, and you are a blind, partisan HACK!

If the President said oil production in the U.S. is up, and oil production in the U.S. is up,

then the President is telling the truth and you people are mentally retarded to say otherwise.

Singling out a fraction of US production in one category that is down and then from that claiming that U.S. overall production is down is about as stupid as a person can get.

But we already know you fall into that category of stupidity.

Kindly reconcile your baseless opinion with the fact that for the first time in many decades, the US was a net exporter of oil.

You people wouldn't know the truth if it were stuffed into a dildo and shoved up your ass,

but here is some more of it, anyway:

On the Shelf: The Oil & Gas Industry’s Idle Federal Drilling PermitsJuly 11, 2011

By David Alberswerth

Thousands of unused permits issued by the BLM show that the biggest obstacle to oil and gas companies drilling in America is…oil and gas companies themselves!

New data released by the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) indicates that as of May 2011, the agency had issued over 6,500 oil and gas drilling permits on BLM land that the industry is not using. Despite the fact that tens of millions of acres of federal lands under lease to the oil and gas industry are not in use, and the industry is sitting on thousands of approved but idle drilling permits for these lands, the industry and its allies have kept a drumbeat of pressure on the Obama Administration. Those squeaky wheels would like to weaken environmental safety laws and open more lands to drilling. This simply is not necessary.

So Obama is blaming his problems on a Republican again? Obama could have dismissed the whining of the governor with a wave of his hand. The concern about the Oglala aquifer are a joke. There are already tens of thousands of miles of pipeline crossing it.

Who do you think you're fooling?
