I always like that people say "Throwing money at it doesn't solve the problem".


But an employee making less than $8 an hour would certainly disagree. Especially a family trying to get by on low wages. But the argument is always that we cannot afford to raise wages.

The list of simple, curable diseases that, if left untreated, can turn into serious health issues and even death is a long one. Providing basic healthcare, especially for children, would make a huge difference. But we always hear "We can't afford that" or "Where is the money going to come from?".

I really dont even know why they use the.... raise MW argument, anymore. Most companies are paying at least 15 an hour now. Shoot, wal mart greeters make 18 an hour. Buccees gas mart pays 30 an hour to make BBQ sandwiches.
