For the first time in human history.....

So Hudson was right, there is a north west passage.

400 years early, but that is the issue with true visionaries.

The first time in modern history.

Considering we have only been exploring the north pole for 500 years or so, it is rather inaccurate to claim it is the first time in "human History" considering we have know Idea before 500 years ago if it was ever free of Ice before.

We know that about 500 years ago Greenland was free of Ice and a much warmer place. At that time Nobody had ever been to the North Pole. How are we to know if it was navigable then or not? You guys do a disservice to your cause when you use misleading statements like "the first time in human History" when clearly human history goes back much further than the amount of Time we have know about, or been visiting the North Pole.
