just some info on 'sati' , think that its interesting . --- Sati in India Sati - the Burning of The Widow bride --- it started to be stopped by the Brits in the 1800s although some attempts were made at earlier dates . The Indian custom was at least slowed down by the British custom of 'hanging' widow burners .
