Foolish Republicans Install Real Time Debt Clock

Which will show the increase in the total debt for the duration of the RNC convention.

You'd think after the Reagan/Bushes years they'd be ashamed of it.

The day Obama's first budget responsibility began the U S owed $453 billion of interest on the debt. Unlike the debt itself the interest must be paid or the nation goes into default. Subtract a trillion or so from Obama's debt and add it to the Reagan/Bush years:

Your little Rant would make much more sense if the President was the one responsible for Spending, but he isn't sweet heart. If you want accuracy show us who was running the House of Representatives in all those years.

Plus I notice you stop at 2009 at 11.9 trillion, Which is well after Obama entered office, and seems to completely ignore than in the 3 short years since then, the Debt has Ballooned by over 4 Trillion under Obama.

lol

So using you own Stupid, Simple Minded Logic, Obama has added 25% of all debt we have ever had, In only 3.5 years.

Jack Ass.

And now Romney/Ryan oppose the single most effective way to reduce the government deficit -- by letting US run off the "fiscal cliff".

The fact is that pubs never cared about the deficits. They only talked about the debt to scare their dumb supporters into voting for them.

If you're trying to say government during Reagan and the Bush's spent too much, you're right, they did. Of course, it was nothing compared to what they spend during the Obama years.

What's your point?

The point is that one third of Obama's debt is due to interest payments for debt created mostly by Republican administrations. On top of that, the vast majority of the rest of the debt under Obama was due to increase payments in safety net programs and loss of revenue due to the Republican caused recession. Now, I will say that the cause of the recession can be traced to many factors, but the way you guys look at things, everyone seems so intent on blaming the president, so let's blame Bush for the recession. Obama did not cause or start it; it was handed to him.

Please refer to post #14....you never answered my question. I would like to know the answer...........

Actually, the biggest contributor to the recent deficit was falling tax revenues:

The government spending (blue line) were growing at about the same rate as before Obama came to the office. But the revenues (red line) fell off dramatically with the onset of the recession in 2008.

Tax revenues fall when big government discourages private sector investments by raising insurance costs with scare tactics; decimate new drilling rigs; raise energy costs by turning screws on businesses.

Obama has mastered screwing businesses. He brought falling tax revenues on his nation.

Stop the chaos.

Vote Republican.

We seem to keep having the argument who was more responsible for where we are...
We say Obama,Obama's lackeys say he's not responsible for 1 penny of it..
If you can believe that.

Anyway...we need to fix this Libs.
I think every city in this county should have a big screen deal
visible from every major highway showing this.

This is such a blatant lie, only idiots voting Republican would fall for it.
My insurance went from $200 deductible to $2500 deductible which basically meant we were uninsured the year after Obama took office, even paying the same rates. We may not be insured now. We changed companies, and had to hire an accountant to figure things out for us.

Obama scared the living shit out of insurance companies, who were scrambling to lower their costs by putting the same screws Obama planned on putting to them to their customers.

Our gasoline prices also accelerated to double what they were. Here, it's back up to $3.70 per gallon. Our county's road repair bills accelerated, so the county raised everyone's home taxes almost a thousand dollars last year alone, and we're paying two thousand more than 3 years ago when we moved.

Get Obama's frightening and hateful changes in his war on free enterprise out of our lives.

Vote Republican

The annual interest payments are second only to the defense budget.

Really? Do you have a link for this?

Here's the 2011 federal budget breakdown:
21% Medicare, Medicade, CHIP
20% Social Security
20% Defense
13% Safety Net Programs
7% Benefits for federal employee retirees
6% Interest on Debt
3% Transportation and infrastructure
2% Education
2% Science and research
1% Non security international
4% Other

LMAO!!! Where did you find that load of horse shit? All that's required to reduce spending is to cut out a Republican war or two:

How long did it take you to make up that chart?
