Which will show the increase in the total debt for the duration of the RNC convention.

You'd think after the Reagan/Bushes years they'd be ashamed of it.

The day Obama's first budget responsibility began the U S owed $453 billion of interest on the debt. Unlike the debt itself the interest must be paid or the nation goes into default. Subtract a trillion or so from Obama's debt and add it to the Reagan/Bush years:

Your numbers are meaningless. Obama is responsible for more debt than any President EVER.

Obama Has Now Increased Debt More than All Presidents from George Washington Through George H.W. Bush Combined | CNSNews.com

That means that in the less-than-three-years Obama has been in office, the federal debt has increased by $4.212 trillion--more than the total national debt of about $4.1672 trillion accumulated by all 41 U.S. presidents from George Washington through George H.W. Bush combined.

Sorry! This is a loser! Try again soon!

If you're trying to say government during Reagan and the Bush's spent too much, you're right, they did. Of course, it was nothing compared to what they spend during the Obama years.

What's your point?

So if this were true....why didn't we lose our AAA credit rating back then? If Bush was so bad, i would think it would have happened then. No....this is ALL Obama's baby...and people are sick of it!

So you think it's fair to count the annual interest which has been paid by Obama on the Reagan/Bushes debt as new debt by him? The first year it was half a trillion dollars. Bush's last budget ended Sept. 30, 2009....that day the interest due and payable was $451 billion dollars. The annual interest payments are second only to the defense budget:

2011 $454,393,280,417.03

2010 $413,954,825,362.17

2009 $383,071,060,815.42

2008 $451,154,049,950.63

LMAO!!! Where did you find that load of horse shit? All that's required to reduce spending is to cut out a Republican war or two:

This should be great. Real campaign material, here. It'll be smashing to watch the GOP dance the night away in front of a giant clock ticking us further into debt, millions by the second. Maybe they'll pose around for a picture, flashing gang signs.

total amnesia from the GOP, wow, Shocker!

what a bunch of twits.

While removing the cost of wars would indeed reduce spending, I wonder that in the hell that has to do with your original statement:

The annual interest payments are second only to the defense budget.

I called that statement bullshit. You responded with a red herring. Can you back up your statement or not?

I've showed you the annual interest on Reagan/Bushes debt. You come back with some cockamammy load of schit about $451 billion a year being 6% of the total debt.

All Republicans live in a fantasy world which includes the god of the universe leaving the only keys to the kingdom with a bunch of ignorant camel herders who believed in witches and thought the earth was flat to something Reagan called "Trickle Down." Trickle down my ass...the only trickle down was warm piss running down the backs of what used to be the middle class of this great republic. Republicans can't wait to start the next war. What the hell...General Dynamics and Halliburton have to eat too.

:eusa_shhh:

Obama's spending that he added to the DEPT has been Booooooooooooooooosh's fault

don't ya know

That is factually incorrect. The national debt when Obama took office was around $11 trillion. It is currently about to cross $16 trillion.

It's a good strategy to remind viewers just how big of a hole this administration has dug for us and contiues to use the nations largest back hoe to dig us deeper with Obama's each swipe of the pen.

The annual interest payments are second only to the defense budget.

I say you're wrong about that. Back up your statement, if you can. That's all I'm saying.

From link:

In fiscal year 2011, the federal government spent $3.6 trillion, amounting to 24 percent of the nation's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). While the level of 2011 expenditures - as a share of GDP - remains high due to the economic downturn, the composition of the budget largely resembles the patterns of recent years. Of that $3.6 trillion, $2.2 trillion was financed by federal tax revenues, and $83 billion by excess profits on assets held by the Federal Reserve. The remaining $1.3 trillion was financed by borrowing; this deficit will ultimately be paid for by future taxpayers. (See box for the recession's impact on the budget.) As shown in the graph below, three major areas of spending each make up about one-fifth of the budget:

What budget?
