Foolish Republicans Install Real Time Debt Clock

We seem to keep having the argument who was more responsible for where we are...
We say Obama,Obama's lackeys say he's not responsible for 1 penny of it..
If you can believe that.

Anyway...we need to fix this Libs.

Do we? Because the fix is really simple -- let the Bush tax cuts expire and let defense cuts to proceed as planned -- a.k.a "fiscal cliff" -- and it will halve the deficit next year!

Only for some reason Romney and Ryan have both sworn that will do everything they could to prevent it. Which, of course, haven't stopped them from rising that silly debt clock.

Raising taxes will not fix a 16 trillion dollar debt and growing.

Which will show the increase in the total debt for the duration of the RNC convention.

You'd think after the Reagan/Bushes years they'd be ashamed of it.

The day Obama's first budget responsibility began the U S owed $453 billion of interest on the debt. Unlike the debt itself the interest must be paid or the nation goes into default. Subtract a trillion or so from Obama's debt and add it to the Reagan/Bush years:

Uh....ok??? Wow - the idiot liberal dumbocrat is really desperate when they just randomly pick failures of their administration and say "add it to the GOP"

The fact is, Obama added more to the national debt in his first 3 years than all presidents in US history (235 years) combined have done in their first 3 years. That is just jaw dropping. That's right folks - Obama has done more irreversible damage in 3 years than all presidents did in 235 years. That is epic failure that is nearly impossible to comprehend.

The bottom line - the only thing the GOP (and America for that matter) is "ashamed of" is the marxist dictator Barack Obama.

Especially when they raise spending every time they raise taxes. If we sent them 100% of our income, they would just spend 150% that year. It's what marxists do - spend you into collapse.

I personally believe the US needs to split ways with the idiot liberal dumbocrat. Their policies are just the same old tired communism/marxism/socialism that has been collapsing nations for over a century now. It's clear there is no working with them - lets just split the country in half, let them fall into a Cuba/Somalia like collapse, and we'll thrive with our conservative constitutional government (plus, just watching them pee themselves when they realize we won't be there to mooch off of any longer would be worth the price of admission alone ).

Sure it would!

Rising top marginal taxes to 60% would bring about 500 billions of additional revenue annually. And once economy recovers, that would put us solidly in the surplus territory.

And we won't have to cut Social Security or Medicare. Rising taxes to the level of, say, Germany will fix our debt problem (and if you are wondering, German economy is doing just fine, thank you very much).

Dumb move GOP. Almost as dumb as having your convention in a publicly funded stadium in Tampa in August.

LMAO!!! Where did you find that load of horse shit?

The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, an organization working at the federal and state levels on fiscal policy and public programs that affect low- and moderate-income families and individuals. While removing the cost of wars would indeed reduce spending, I wonder that in the hell that has to do with your original statement:

The annual interest payments are second only to the defense budget.

I called that statement bullshit. You responded with a red herring. Can you back up your statement or not?

I've showed you the annual interest on Reagan/Bushes debt. You come back with some cockamammy load of schit about $451 billion a year being 6% of the total debt.

All Republicans live in a fantasy world which includes the god of the universe leaving the only keys to the kingdom with a bunch of ignorant camel herders who believed in witches and thought the earth was flat to something Reagan called "Trickle Down." Trickle down my ass...the only trickle down was warm piss running down the backs of what used to be the middle class of this great republic. Republicans can't wait to start the next war. What the hell...General Dynamics and Halliburton have to eat too.
Hey Cammmmmmmmmmmpbell! I didn't miss you when you were gone. Perhaps you weren't gone long enough.
This time, could you be a bit more dramatic? Maybe I'll remember.
