Fifteen Law Professors File Ethics Complaint Against Kellyanne Conway Over ‘Lies’

It is chicken shit to file frivolous ethics complaints for political reasons regardless of the originator of the complaint. You douche.

“She is behaving in a way that brings shame upon the legal profession,” states letter.

President Donald Trump’s counselor Kellyanne Conway should face sanctions for “professional misconduct,” which include repeated lies and ethics breaches, according to a formal complaint filed by 15 law professors across the nation.

“We do not file this complaint lightly,” states the letter, which legal ethics professors from leading universities such as Yale, Georgetown, Fordham and Duke filed this week. “We believe that, at one time, Ms. Conway understood her ethical responsibilities as a lawyer and abided by them. But she is currently behaving in a way that brings shame upon the legal profession.”

Conway obtained a law degree from George Washington University Law School. She was admitted to the Washington, D.C., bar in 1995, though she is currently suspended for nonpayment of dues, according to the complaint.

The letter, which The Washington Post obtained, was sent to the Washington, D.C., Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Board of Professional Responsibility, which addresses complaints about members of the local bar.

The letter lists Conway’s lies, including those about the non-existent “Bowling Green Massacre” to justify Trump’s ban against travelers from seven predominantly Muslim countries. Not only was there no massacre, but “Ms. Conway knew there was no massacre,” the filing states.

The complaint also upbraids Conway’s touting of “alternative facts” — which are “not facts at all; they are lies,” the letter notes.

This is great news! Conway should have known that she was violating professional legal ethics - not to mention human decency.
that's trumps puttana

Remember Catharine Harris?

Yeah well, Ms Conway is headed for the same discard pile.

Yes, I remember Katherine Harris quite well. What a witch.
She didn't go around the media circuit lying to the public about what really happened in Benghazi to help get a candidate re-elected. Different priorities.
Bernard Henri Levy is what happened to Libya. Stevens did not want to leave and he knew Levy. The GOP used Clinton as a scapegoat.

Please don't proselytize your faith to me and expect to be taken seriously.

Hillary Clinton will see jail before Conway

The President of Trinity College in Washington D.C. is heavily criticizing not only President Trump, but prominent alumna and donor Kellyanne Conway, as well.

According to Inside Higher Ed, President Patricia McGuire blasted Trump and Conway in a blog post on the college’s website concerning Lies and the Truths We Must Tell, accusing Conway of helping to facilitate the administration’s use of deliberately misleading statements

“We Americans study the history of tyranny and exclaim, ‘That’s terrible, but it would not happen here!’ as we congratulate ourselves on the robust state of our democracy,” McGuire states, but asserts that “the experience of the last few months now exposes this once-confident boast as terribly naive and perhaps even dangerous as a new administration indulges in a remarkable torrent of false and misleading statements as a basis for policy and action.”

“The gravest lie we are grappling with at the present moment is the Trump Administration’s cruel and unreasonable war on immigrants—mostly people who are black and brown, and Muslim,” she continues, remarking that Trump’s executive order on immigration “has spread fear and uncertainty among many people in the United States and worldwide.”

McGuire then directs her ire toward Trinity alumna Conway, a top aide in Trump campaign who has gone on to serve as a visible spokesperson for the administration.

“Presidential Counselor Kellyanne Conway, Trinity Class of 1989, has played a large role in facilitating the manipulation of facts and encouraging the grave injustice being perpetrated by the Trump Administration’s war on immigrants among many other issues,” McGuire claims. “Some people admire her staunch advocacy for her client’s positions, and others applaud the fact that she was the first woman to manage a successful presidential campaign. But in fact, as is true of many of President Trump’s statements, her advocacy on his behalf is often at variance with the truth.”

If she is found guilty she gets what? a 50 dollar fine

You almost gotta laugh. According to David Horowitz, every high profile conservative speaker has been the victim of misdemeanor or felony assault on a college campus sometime or numerous times in their careers but it seems that 15 law professors took time out from their busy schedule to sign a petition that alleges Kellyann Conway might be guilty of ethics violations for defending the President's daughter. No surprises here.

Many college presidents avoid talking or writing about anything remotely political. They cite "institutional neutrality" and speak out only on a narrow set of policy issues, such as student aid, that directly relate to their institutions. Many presidents also demur if asked to criticize an alumnus, more so if that alumnus happens to be a donor.

But Patricia McGuire, president of Trinity Washington University since 1989, does not pull her punches. She is widely credited for shifting the university away from a traditional role of educating wealthy white women -- a market it was losing -- and toward a mission of educating low-income Washington women, including many black, Latino and immigrant students. Many alumnae were not initially sold on the shift, and McGuire had to fight for this vision of the college, one that is now widely praised.

In the early days of the Trump administration, McGuire has had much to say on Twitter about moves by the new president and his team that she finds dangerous and inconsistent with American values. But it was a blog post last week that now has people in higher education talking.

Again if they find her guilty for saying buy trump stuff, what happens, hanging or lethal injection?

I hope she is sanctioned too, but it won't make a bit of difference. I'm sure she isn't planning to work as a lawyer in the future anyway, so being disbarred doesn't matter. Trump won't fire her. She won't lose credibility with the trumpsters either. The real networks might shun her, but they are already doing that. I say run her through the ringer, but don't expect any real effect from it.
