Feeding animals causes dependency..46 million americans on food stamps

I believe we should reduce govt. spending, but trying to make poor people pay and rich posper is not right, just ask Jesus

But don't the poor have the liberty to work hard and become the same as the rich you loathe?

Or do you submit to the Statists that have made it difficult to get off of welfare once you allowed yourself to get there?

And Using Jesus is a cheap shot from a mindless drone like you.

Wise up.

Indeed

Why give a man a dog to eat- you feed him for only one day
when you can teach him to hunt for dog- you feed him for a life time

Jesus praised the widow's mite more than any other contribution recorded in the New Testament even as he enjoyed dining and partying with the rich who could afford to entertain him while that would have been a burden for the poor. He also saw the rich having greater responsibility because of their greater blessings, but he never saw the rich as undeserving of their wealth, and he saw the poor as also having responsibility and obligations.

And of neither did he ever suggest that the responsibility for their choices was anything other than theirs. At no time did he suggest that anybody be forced to do what they should even as he taught that there are consequences for the choices we make. He was perhaps the first Classical Liberal who understood the concept of individual liberty tempered by social contract.

Thrown out? Who said that,....
Obviously, another "advanced" student from the public education system

We know the Constitution means little to the Left but try reading it sometime

considering the vaguness of the posters or trolls here I suspect there is very little education from those that prefer to insult, over a discussion which does not need it

Insult?
Nothing but the truth....

Granted the truth can be harsh sometimes

The truth is the hard for the left
in fact, it is their worst enemy

I am a rich man, so I loathe myself? You are clever.
I have been self employed for 20 years after working for others over 15 years. if you feel the need to create a strawman then by all means do.
it does show you inability to talk without undue insults. I bet your close associates love when you treat them in this fashion when not on the puter.
Jesus, he's is a great guy. I love to quote and try to llive his word. I can tell you must worship Satan the way you act and talk.

But you are wrong about Americans and welfare. the people I kow that need it would rather be earning more and be done with it. These people were great wage earners until the recession, so what if they need help, it is there and we have more than enough.
Want is not the same as communism or socialism.
If you were not so soured you might have a better outlook. This is my third recession, I worked steady through all of them because I did what was needed and my family is a hard working nucleus that never give up or try to spread schadenfreuda for no reason. I put those people in the same catagory as those that spread viruses to ruin your computer programming for no good reason other than they are bad people.

if true, sorry to hear it...

But really, how can we believe you on anything you say

Seriously, if you ran any kind of small business that was not dependent on gov't funds, directly or indirectly
you would know of the damage Papa Obama is doing to this economy

Which is why we know you are being disingenuous
just like when you were claiming to have advanced degrees
several weeks ago

Sorry

Obama isn't working

I'm not going to rag on Moonglow re his circumstances because none of us know what those are. I do know, however, that there are those who are so ignorant of how the system works, and/or too lazy to do any in depth research or thinking on it, that it is easy to absolve themselves of any personal responsibility by buying into the leftwing media, message board, and government hype spoonfed to us that the government is actually making people's lives better. Even some small business owners think that way, though I dare say most are not too successful since they probably don't have a good grasp of how a healthy economy works. Such people probably also believe the current class warfare mantra that everybody would be much better off if the rich could 'just pay a little more.'

Mind you I don't know what Moonglow thinks about all that. But his comments here suggest that he leans in that direction.

The fallacies, even intentional fraud, in such concepts are pretty cut and dried though. The truth is:

1. It is to the advantage of big business to promote entitlement and free stuff because it removes or weakens a lot of the competition from small business. This is why a large percentage of big business leaders support Democrats. The CEOs and their top people don't even care if our fearless leaders goes after the 'rich' so long as he doesn't interfere with their golden parachutes and others means of shielding their income from the tax man. And he doesn't. So it's the middle group--the successful small businessman, that will take it on the chin. That's the whole idea.

2. It is necessary to promote the talking point that there will be widespread starvation and hardship if the Federal government does not furnish specific benefits; i.e. food stamps. The idea that the states or local communities or private charities could and would take care of the truly needy is discounted and dismissed as irreleventl. Also the unintended bad consequences of federal programs are shrugged off and ignored.

3. It is important to divert attention from the fact that the poor are discouraged from becoming unpoor by making them comfortable on the free stuff they receive from the federal government. There are very few people in this world that would devote the same passion, effort, and integrity to their work, or that would do it all, if they were not paid to do it. Evenmoreso if they are paid not to do it.

4. And the cycle of dependency is completed when enough people are convinced that the well won't ever run dry, and it is compassionate and responsible to entice people with free stuff to the point they won't agree to do without it, and you have created a large enough voting bloc of people on free stuff that those providing it are ensured of a permanent place in government where they can focus on increasing their own power, prestige, influence, and personal wealth.

The well does run dry...when the PIE is allowed to stifle, and ceases to grow.

Spot on, sister! Rep on the way as soon as possible!
Thank you for so clearly articulating what is on my own mind.
