Conservatives claim to hate anonymous sources. But today they were elated over an anonymous news report in Axios claiming that Donald Trump is considering to replace Jeff Sessions with Rudy Giuliani.

Why were conservatives duped by fake news? Two reasons.
1) they don't really hate anonymous sources. They love them.
2) They wanted Giuliani so bad that they chose to believe the fake news.
