Facts that Show How Badly The Economy Has Tanked Since Obama Became President

BOOSH!

Bush inherited a recession, Obama inherited a recovery.
He has the worst record of any president post war in history. It is astounding. The only thng more astounding is the level of denial in the leftist community.

Reading right wing cranks try and foist the Bush Recession onto Obama, or anyone else, is always amusing. Thanks for the laughs, losers. You are why liberals look down on conservatives.

It was a recovery when Obama took office. He turned it into the longest recession in post war history and then the worst recovery. Soon to be the first double dip recession post war.

Just curious, how many times does Fox News have to repeat "it was a recovery when Obama took office" before you accept it contrary to what you already know.

As most of us know, Bush economic policies and lack of reasonable government monitoring of the market lead to the biggest financial disaster in the history of time -- Bush bankrupt several of his daddy's companies and he almost did the same to our country.

That being said, no reasonable person would call Jan. 2009 "recovery" -- but I'm curious how many times you need to be told the opposite -- A LIE -- until you let go of your intelligence and reason and accept the LIE?

Bush was handed a surplus which he turned into an excuse to cut taxes and turned in record deficits

Do you ever get it right?
There was no surplus. Bush inherited a recession. He cut taxes and the recession went away. Obama inherited a recovery. He raised taxes and the recession continued, with the tepid growth we see now.

Five quarters of negative GDP an losing 770,000 jobs a month is inheriting a recovery?

No wonder we don't elect Republucans any more

The economy always rebounds after a recession. Obama just happened to be in office at the right time. Everything he has done has only retarded the natural course of things to improve.

That's what morons like you "know." The Democrat sub-prime mortgage debacle caused the recession, not Bush.

And how many times do you need to be told that the collapse in 2008 was set into motion decades before, in the 90's the collapse was forecasted, long before Bush took office. It looks like rewriting history is a liberal specialty.

In January when Obama was inaugurated the UE rate was 7.9. It hasn't gotten back to that until the last month or so. And if you count all the people who have given up or gone on disability then the rate is over 10%. Obama clearly made things worse.

Started under Carter, embellished by Clinton.

This is the Worst Recovery Ever...thanks to Obama's policies and feckless, incompetent leadership.

Exactly!

The misguided notion that everyone is entitled to own a $500,000 home on a $30,000/yr
income caused the recession.

But you ain't seen nothing yet. I predict that in the next three years there will be a similarly misguided law claiming that everyone who can (barely) afford blue jeans and T-shirt is entitled to an Armani suit and those whose budget (if there is one) allows them to have burgers and fries is entitled to have steak and lobster and caviar. Just leave it to President Obama, after all he knows best about "fair shares".

did anybody mention that the average income of the American family has dropped 4% since the supposed recovery of summer 2009?

Obama won in 2008 to correct the mistakes of the GOP which has wrought so much damage on the US. Obama did that, and therefore won reelection in 2012.

If Bush had been a better President, then Obama would not have won. We'd be talking about President McCain instead. But Bush's Presidency was a flop which ruined the GOP's reputation for competency and prudence in governing. The sooner conservatives realize this, and quit making excuses for Bush's errors, and quit trying to blame liberals for Bush's mistakes, the better off conservatives will be.

Clinton supposedly was the greatest two term President Democrats could brag about since FDR, and yet, Bush defeated Al Gore. In fact, Clinton was such a great President that the election between his Vice President and Bush was such a close race. So close, that the decided winner was halted and tied up in the courts for weeks.

It would probably be better if you understood how your own logic worked before using it yourself.

It was the Bush Recession. It was the result of 8 years of stupid GOP policies under the dumbest President we've ever had. Bush's appointment in 2000 and relection in 2004 was a huge mistake that most Americans regret to this very day.

The GOP justifiably took the blame for the Bush Recession by the voters, and rewarded Obama for a job well done by reelecting him in 2012.

Oh look how cute you are !!!

American's were SO happy with Obama that his party was handed the most lopsided defeat since the 40's.....

Must you always prove yourself to be politically illiterate?

No one is under any obligation to validate your childish analysis.

You must be a rich Union old fart and dont care about this country you got yours and screw everyone else. It was both the Republicans and Democrats fault and Obama is leading the charge only on his own of trashing a country he says he loves he is making his own rules and the Pubs are having a hard time to stop him. So the Cons all have a dilema let Obama burn it or fight back.
