It just occurred to me when scheduling my flu shot that these places really do know the difference between a male and a female. Now, up front, I must confess that I lean right and am from a red state but I'm sure the same holds true in blue states as well. When scheduling my flu shot I was asked a series of woke, politically correct questions, including what was my gender at birth and what gender do I identify as.

I have no doubt that these same woke and politically correct questions are asked even in blue states. It took me a while but I finally realized that when facilities are treating you for medical conditions of all kinds, it is important that they know whether you are really a male or a female, hence why they ask your gender at birth. If you are a man who identifies as a woman and vice versa, why would they ask you your birth gender if you now identify yourself as something else?

Answer: because when they treat you, they need to know if you are really a male or a female because that is important knowledge they need to know for treating you. In other words, even in woke states and woke medical facilities, the fact is you are either a male or a female, not what you now claim to identify as, and that is how they have to treat you, what you are born as, not what you identify as. So, they do know males are males and females are females, whether they admit it or not.

At my last doctor's visit when I was doing the on line pre-registration, the questions were: What gender do you identify as? What gender is shown on your birth certificate? What is your sexual orientation? What pronoun do you wish to be used for you? I live in a bright blue very 'woke' state that ironically still calls the indigenous population "Indians" here.

But it is reassuring that at least the medical community is aware of the issues because it really does become important when treating for certain conditions.

I consider myself an Independent that usually votes 3rd party but I am voting for Trump in 2024.

Over the years I have voted for those from both parties, independents, 3rd parties, etc. I used to be a democrat long ago, switched to Republican, then switched to independent. Then I realize as a registered independent in my state, I couldn't vote for anyone in the primaries so, since I lean right, I registered back as a Republican just so I could vote in the primaries, even though I'm still technically an independent. I will not vote for a whacko leftist socialist/progressive. I'm not sure who I'm voting for in 2024 but it will not be Biden or the Democratic nominee. I may vote for a third party but I will gladly vote for Trump over the Democratic nominee if need be.

I learned what Democrats were early. My congressman was a Democrat and I lived in a heavily Democrat area and the Republicans ran a nobody candidate so I voted Democrat. Then he voted to overturn a congressional in Indiana (I think) election that the Republican won. Neither he nor the Democrats explained or gave any justification other than they could because it was close. The press (of course) didn't ask what the justification was.

I have been on and off for the Republicans my whole life, but I learned then the Democrats were against democracy, and they have done nothing but prove me right the 40 years since
