  • Claims for the week ended Jan. 29 totaled 238,000, a touch lower than the 245,000 Dow Jones estimate.
  • Continuing claims on a four-week basis hit their lowest level since 1973.
  • Productivity rose more than expected in the fourth quarter, while unit labor costs were less than the Wall Street estimate.

Jobless claims are down.

Great news for Joe!

That's the flip side they ignore. With the most current report - 4,000,000 more people need to be working to reach pre-covid economy. And a full 7,000,000 behind where the trajectory was headed in 2019. The real economy was hidden by the governments $3.5 trillion Covid giveaway. That money has faded, and the Covid unemployment free $$$ also faded... reality is hitting hard. First inflation created by the giveaway and decreased supply. Next is declining new jobs (already there)... next is job reversal where we are actually losing jobs.

Good. Time to fire some of those people at the unemployment offices.

Don't forget that wonderful minimum wage increase to $15/hr that was going to help low income people. The democrats fucked them with that too. You can't get SNAP or welfare benefits with a $15/hr job and increased prices of food and fuel have eaten the rest of the increase plus some. See how good democrat policies are?
