Ebola 2020... Wuhan coronavirus

This is getting real kids.
Time to hurry and invent the new Tamiflu so big pharma can make
zillions more in profits.

Summary:
Here's a glimpse of new virus-related developments that occurred overnight.

  • Total number of confirmed cases now 900+, 26 dead.
  • China restricts travel for 40+ million people as the death toll surges.
  • Two deaths have been reported outside Wuhan.
  • Some residents displaying symptoms are being turned away from hospitals.
  • Hospitals in Wuhan make urgent pleas for help and supplies.
  • Beijing orders PLA medics to assist in Wuhan treating patients
  • UK and US governments tell citizens to avoid outbreak zones.
  • Senator says CDC about to confirm 3rd US case
  • US senators receive briefing on the virus

just watched a video on the news of a man in china wearing a mask collapse face down in the street ! they also showed people lying in hallways not moving !folks i didnt worry about sars or anything like that in the past ...but this could be something on a whole different level ...its getting kinda scary !

The first case appears in Washington State. Trump will be golfing again soon, no doubt.

Should more cases appear, let's see if the right absolutely loses their tiny minds again like they did over Ebola or if they don't care about diseases anymore.
i have been watching videos of people wearing face masks for protection dropping like fly's and lying in the streets and hallways not moving in China ! do not politicize this ! this may be very very serious !

Face masks may not be enough: it apparently can be transmitted through the eyes.

They had the cure set up at the same time they created the "virus". Guess who gets it first ?

Coronavirus
Patent number: 10130701
Abstract: The present invention provides a live, attenuated coronavirus comprising a variant replicase gene encoding polyproteins comprising a mutation in one or more of non-structural protein(s) (nsp)-10, nsp-14, nsp-15 or nsp-16. The coronavirus may be used as a vaccine for treating and/or preventing a disease, such as infectious bronchitis, in a subject.
Type: Grant
Filed: July 23, 2015
Date of Patent: November 20, 2018
Assignee: THE PIRBRIGHT INSTITUTE
Inventors: Erica Bickerton, Sarah Keep, Paul Britto

Which begs the question WHY did they stop short of declaring it an emergency. It's a virus, highly contagious with the possibility of spreading faster than Cali or Australia wildfires. Just how many people whether in China, the US or worldwide have to catch this bug and possibly die before the WHO takes meaningful action??

Opining as an ex infection control officer, i'll only say the CDC and WHO have epidemiology metrics that have a lot of focus on virility .

for example, bloodbourne vs. airbourne , multi drug resistance , it's ability to survive outside of a 'host'....

Comparing the Coronavirus with Ebola is about like comparing a horsefly bite to a tiger shark bite.
Of 300 Coronavirus virus patients, 20 died. That's about 6.6%, whereas with the Ebola Virus, the percentage of deaths averages about 50%.
The symptoms of the Coronavirus are similar to that of a bad cold, whereas one of the prominent symptoms of Ebola is that you bleed out of your orifices.
We here in the US are bad about courtesy to others. When we get a cold, rather than staying home to avoid contaminating others, we just go to work and spread it to our coworkers and of course, other family members. In Japan, most people consider it important to wear masks in an effort to not contaminate others (although, the most common way to infect others is just by having a cold and handing someone something you've held), but at least they make an effort. If you get an Upper Respiratory Infection, stay home, drink fluids and take medications that address the symptoms, as viruses can't be cured, only ridden out until gone.

Yeah, but who would drink a beer called ‘Ebola’?

Post #54 is misleading. Bickerton is studying IBV in poultry (including UK poultry), Keep is her assistant, and Britton's research is on the molecular virology of the coronavirus group. One can see that the patent includes non-structural proteins, which is a far cry from the parameters of the Wuhan 2019-nCoV strain and recombination in the wild.
