Seattle got a 6.9 quake in 2001 and it was covered in the national media for about 6 hours.

    Eastern-oriented media...............................

Rush Limbaugh said today that the media hype of the hurricane was an engineered plot by Obama to appear to be "in charge".

He went on to say that "oh, there were a few deaths...just a little flooding in Vermont...but uhhh..."

And can you actually believe he started his show out by complaining that liberals were politicizing the hurricane.

Been to NC once - in 1986 when I was driving from DC to Miami on I-95.

Got pulled over by a NC state trooper for driving about 7 mph over the speed limit.

He let me get off with a warning instead of giving me a ticket -because NC doesn't have "reciprical privilages" with Wash State regarding traffic violations -whatever that means

    Nice guy......
