Explain to us what parameter you would change to explore the DIFFERENT volumes a fixed radius could produce? And, pray tell, what physical parameter in the real world would such a model mimic? I can make a program that produces values that wander all over the map, but without mapping functions between my output and some physical system, I am not modeling shit.

A formula is a model doofus...rail against the fact as much as you like...piss and moan, gnash your teeth, shake your fists....and let it worm its way under your skin and make you even more miserable than you already are....but like CO2 in the atmosphere...it won't make any difference.
