Not the middle of nowhere
Cause of global warming hiatus found deep in the Atlantic Ocean | UW Today

Another kick in the nut sack for the alarmist nutters!!!:2up:

Following rapid warming in the late 20th century, this century has so far seen surprisingly little increase in the average temperature at the Earth’s surface. At first this was a blip, then a trend, then a puzzle for the climate science community.
More than a dozen theories have now been proposed for the so-called global warming hiatus, ranging from air pollution to volcanoes to sunspots. New research from the University of Washington shows that the heat absent from the surface is plunging deep in the north and south Atlantic Ocean, and is part of a naturally occurring cycle
. The study is published Aug. 22 in Science.

So much losing.............

So yet another study confirms AGW science, and you declare victory?

Seriously, you're a raging 'tard.

Nope....the research pwns your narrative s0n, and you know it. Thats why you are calling me a 'tard.

What is is saying is that still........the scientists dont know dick one way or another about these cycles or the cause/effect on the climate. And thats the whole point. Nothing is settled........it it were, the Atlantic ocean temperatures would be rising LIKE THE AGW K00KS PROMISED IT WOULD 10 years ago. Instead, they are falling. And nobody knows why!!!!:biggrin::banana:

Skookerasbil, you are a complete idiot. This article:

Varying planetary heat sink led to global-warming slowdown and acceleration

A vacillating global heat sink at intermediate ocean depths is associated with different climate regimes of surface warming under anthropogenic forcing: The latter part of the 20th century saw rapid global warming as more heat stayed near the surface. In the 21st century, surface warming slowed as more heat moved into deeper oceans. In situ and reanalyzed data are used to trace the pathways of ocean heat uptake. In addition to the shallow La Niña–like patterns in the Pacific that were the previous focus, we found that the slowdown is mainly caused by heat transported to deeper layers in the Atlantic and the Southern oceans, initiated by a recurrent salinity anomaly in the subpolar North Atlantic. Cooling periods

This study supports AGW and the observation that the world has NOT stopped warming. We appreciate you linking to it. I linked to it elsewhere myself. It needs wider reading. That you didn't realize what it said, however, is more evidence that you

DO

NOT

HAVE

A

MOTHER

FUCKING

CLUE.

Pulled this gem from the study >>>

This explanation implies that the current slowdown in global warming could last for another decade, or longer, and then rapid warming will return. But Tung emphasizes it’s hard to predict what will happen next.

Translation? They don't know shit about shit!!! In other words, throwing darts at a board may well be far more accurate.:biggrin::boobies:

So, despite all the infantile graphics he's posted, Skookerasbil has absolutely no response to being informed that the article with which he started this thread supports AGW.

Thanks Skooks. Couldn't have done it better myself.

The search highlights a most critical point: that climate science is largely a guess based upon computer models that are very frequently wrong = we still don't know shit about shit.:2up:

What search?

And regarding observed temperature increases, observed increases in GHGs, observed human fingerprint on those increased GHGs, calculated radiative forcing from those GHGs, observed warming in the deep ocean, observed radiative imbalance at the ToA...

What freaking models are you talking about?!?

These nonstop complaints about models are just a whine deniers use when they've no real or substantial comments to make. And that would be, essentially, ALL the time.

warming hiatus s0n.......nAtUrAl cYcLeS pwn you!!!

Here's the poop in a nutshell......on an almost daily basis we get more evidence that global temperatures are due of naturally occurring cycles and NOT anything man-made. All their "consensus" shit is based upon models that are consistently incorrect. This is causing mental meltdowns in the AGW obsessed community and if you look closely, you can see the angst in their posts!! These people are jumping out of their skin in 2014!! Cracks my ass up of course......the shattering of the established narrative of these walking frauds.:boobies:

Just did that Crickham. In your other thread about this "non-news" study.
Told you why there is STILL no plausible connection to the lack of surface warming here.

This work is nothing more than an excuse to BACK OFF of the faulty premise that this ocean heatsink is the COMPLETE explanation of the hiatus. And you zealots didn't hear the cavalry horn for the retreat yet.
But it's pretty much over.

BTK STARTED with that faulty GW premise and made the data look like supporting evidence. Even NOAA wasn't buying the connection. NOW -- science will get back on the rails and UNDERSTAND the phenomena..
