Driving Through KY, TN and GA to Florida

Yankees like Trump? You want them to leave? Remember how much you guys hated New Yorkers? Now you worship one. And he's certainly no Christians, yet you worship him.

Dude, Florida is only great because of snowbirds and yanks. And Socialists from around the world coming to vacation in Florida this time of year.

If it weren't for us, Florida would turn back into a swamp.

Where did you get that idea? Places like Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach as well as Hogan's Hangout in Clearwater Beach draw conservatives from wide and far.

They call one long length of Florida beaches, the Redneck Riviera.

Yes they come to kiss a NY'ers ring.

With a median home price of $1,245,446 and a median rent of $1,778, Sand Key is the most expensive neighborhood on our list. Based on the growth in home prices in Sand Key over the last 3 years, it ranks No. 1 among all the neighborhoods in Clearwater.

Yes I'm sure some old plantation owners from the real south vacation in Florida too.

And sounds as unaffordable as California if you ask me.

Do they allow dogs inside? I usually don't stay anywhere too long I have doggy waiting in the car.
They have an area for pets to be walked I believe.
Can't remember...it's been a year since I was at one. I do remember bypassing the cheaper gas so I could get in and out quicker....the traffic and turn lanes were long for just getting into Buckeys. They have over 100 pumps because people tend to park at the pumps A LOT....so once you get in one it's quick and easy....but getting in is the hard part.

Bathrooms were clean and constantly being cleaned. (There's got to be a yellow river running under them....they qualify for their own sewage processing facility)

But there's a huge amount of every sort of food and travel schlock imaginable in one. Bigger than many Walmart super centers.

Enter at your own risk! LOL

I don't like having to navigate through all the people that Buckeys generates. (Slushys were great and fresh and still fizzy...which is a rare quality)

Not to forget West Virginia.

I've never driven through. Dude, what channel are you listening to that has Optima Tax Relief as an advertiser? That's probably the demographic audience listening to that channel. LOL.
Ha! Sean Hannity? I had to watch/listen till I knew what radio show you were listening to. Irony. Who is Hannity and Trump's largest audience? Poor blue collar whites.

I don’t get the adverts. None of what you posted makes any sense to me, as I’m watching from afar.

Don’t bother. :cow:

I don’t live there, colonial underling. Duh.
I can confirm this is true

Which city has the most expensive groceries in the U.S.? Here, Florida is No. 1. The average household in Miami spends about $327 a week on groceries,

I'm in Ft Lauderdale and food is twice as expensive as it is in Michigan.

I always thought Publix was expensive.

I watch WV for the scenery, FYI.

Someone told me Walmart is the cheapest in Florida. I saw one down the road so next time I go shopping.

Doritos were double. I didn't buy them.

Mountain dew was double. I didn't buy them.

I don't know how much in sales tax or state taxes they are saving down here. Here's what I think. That sales tax savings bullshit helps rich people not the common Floridiot. The average floridiot is paymore more to live here than I am in Michigan. But if you are saving hundreds of thousands of dollars on state taxes, then maybe Florida is a smart place to move. Shaq was smart when he signed with the Miami Heat because he saved a ton. But if you make $70K a year, you are paying more in food prices than you are saving in state taxes.

l don’t think Walmart is all THAT cheap.

Mine is in Northern Virginia.

Harris Teeter is a rip-off.

I agree with you if you are talking about back in Michigan. But people who live here are telling me down here, Walmart is a lot cheaper. I'll let you know after I go shopping there. I'm in FL till the end of the month.

I met a woman from Lexington. People from KY are friendly. Her husband died a couple years ago. They used to come to Florida every year. She reached out to the owner of the place she stays and told them why she hasn't been down. They told her it's $3500 for the month to rent the place but they would give it to her for the same rate her and her husband paid 3 years ago which was $2700.

What is Ron DeSantis going to do about landlords in Florida who have jacked up their rents? LOL Just kidding. The answer is nothing. There is nothing he can do about it. People need to stop renting vacation homes for a couple years and then you'll see rents drop. But people keep spending. So don't blame Biden either.

I’m only in the US 3 months at the most, at a time, NYC at least once a year..

The rest of the time is divided between the ME and Germany. I suppose l compare food prices to Germany, which are very reasonable. I don’t know how they do it so cheap.

A month ago Republicans here were shitting on California and praising Florida. They were trying to say Ron DeSantis was doing a good job. But now I'm here and seeing this stuff is true

Where are the country's most expensive groceries? Florida ranks near the top in food costs

Miami has the most expensive grocery bills in the U.S., census survey says

Yes Cali is number one most expensive State but Florida is number 5. Michigan didn't even make the top 20. That makes me happy.

How is Germany doing it? They are regulated by a government who won't let them gouge consumers. Republicans love unregulated free market capitalism. But that leads to corporations gouging us and monopolies. They say "let the market decide". Well, that's what's happening now. Food stores are charging as much as they can. Only when we stop buying will they lower the prices.
