The New Madrid Fault right down the middle of our country cannot sustain escalating man-made earthquakes associated with fracking. Unlike California's rocky substrate, the pancake geology of the Midwest transfers large earthquakes like the one expected on the New Madrid Fault any time (8.0 or greater). The last time this fault ruptured, it rang church bells in areas 100s and 100s of miles distant from the devastated epicenter.

Not to mention that fracking toxic solvents can never be cleaned up near our last great reserves of underground fresh water necessary for the Ag Industry that is the last bastion of reliable trade for the US..
