In a society that’s been nearly destroyed by proper and polished politicians the American people elected a not-so-proper and less-than-polished leader to take the reins because he was seen as the only choice free from the contaminated corruption of the political establishment. Even with his obvious flaws he is uninfected by the toxic malpractice representing both major political parties in the United States. Americans, disgusted with status quo, went to the polls and put Donald Trump in the White House as America’s first Putney Swope president.

But his clumsiness with language and his amateurish impulsiveness leave him vulnerable to attacks designed to incite opposition. The left, led by Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, has now found itself the moral and racial equivalent of a Cindy Sheehan and they are using it as a crafted mechanism for character assassination.

The first thing people should be asking is how did Wilson happen to be in that car at the exact moment that call was made? What was said in the call is monumentally less important than the fact that Wilson twisted it into a rallying cry suggesting that the president told a widow that her dead husband deserved what he got. Rep. Wilson has turned the poor widow of a dead soldier into an unwitting political pawn to generate hateful rhetoric against a sitting president.

Obviously the president is not insensitive enough to say such a thing but spreading the falsehood that he did is politically advantageous to the divisive forces that benefit from racial and ideological victimology. The president should have listened to his Chief of Staff John Kelly who advised him not to make calls to relatives of fallen soldiers.

The president let impulsiveness win out and he quickly discovered that in politics no good deed goes unpunished. As the first Putney Swope president Trump is in the process of dismantling a tainted political establishment and he poses a legitimate threat to an entrenched, maladapted political aristocracy that understands it is gone if he succeeds.

This is why he is being attacked from all sides. For the first time in decades a president stands for the interests of the people against a government infested with the interests of the government against the people.

If the president survives to a second term the people will win. Some very powerful people are facing jail and they will not give up easily. Putney Swope succeeds.

These calls are not spontaneous. The President's minions call the recipient in advance, and the timing of the call is scheduled. Therefore, the whole thing was a set-up.

During the call, the President has in front of him a one-page dossier with the name, picture, and bio of the deceased, as well as other relevant information. The idea that The Donald couldn't remember this fallen hero's [stupid] name during the call is poppycock.

To someone who is DETERMINED to take offense, any words of condolence can be taken "wrong," in a manner as to be insulting or hurtful. This is why so many police, etc., use the customary, "I'm sorry for your loss." Trump's remark about the soldier knowing what he signed up for is 100% accurate and appropriate. If he had wanted relatively "safe" military duty, he could have joined the Air Force.

Fortunately, the Congress-person in question looks and sounds like an imbecile, so her salvos will not have any effect on The Donald.

The Niger debacle will be "Benghazi Revisited".......

The condolences snafu is just a prelude......

. She may look and sound like an embecile to some, but the left see's her as a heroe. I guess Maxine Waters ran out of gas for a minute, so here comes Frederica to take up the slack in the war on Trump and indirectly the war on the Republican establishment.

Your hero lacks the empathy and the compassion to simply say I'm so sorry for your loss. But like always, it's someone else's fault when Trump fucks up.

Once again Trump insults a gold star family. Mrs. Johnson buried her husband on Saturday. On Monday, President Trump called her a liar.

What an asshole!

. The whole thing created by Frederica to draw the exact reaction you just gave... Bravo.

Trump has no clue whatsoever as to how to BE president.

The only reason Bengazi was big, is because Obama lied about it. To try and get it out of the news. Trump hasn't lied about Niger, so this won't be a big deal. Anyway Obama put our troops there in 2013. So if you have a problem with it, ask Obama why he put them there in the first place.

Trump has said NOTHING about Niger....so, you're technically correct that he hasn't YET lied about the incident....

Now, tell us how many US troops died in Niger during Obama's term???............tick-tock, tick-tock.... (have some more kool-aid while you're "thinking")

lol, what a distorted use of the Putney Swope reference. I saw that movie in its time (yes I'm o l d)

The reference is valid because Trump like Swope was supported by people who thought they risked nothing because they believed he could never win. He did win and like Swope he's going to tear down the house to fix it. It's funny to watch.

I wouldn't agree that Trump had widespread support of that nature. Here and there, yes. I know that Joe Scarborough et al on his show on MSNBC gave Trump a TON of accommodation for a year,

much to their current chagrin.

I don't know if the movie Putney Swope holds up over time now, but everyone should give it a watch if they haven't seen it. I think it's on youtube.

No it was Trump who started it when he insulted past Presidents by saying he calls all of the families when he hadn't called any of the families, when asked why he hadn't mentioned the deaths of these marines.

So to cover his lie he called Johnson's family. And upset the family with his remarks. And then lied about it.

Once again Trump has shot himself in the foot by lying. It's a pattern with him.

. It's a pattern created by you on the left for whom continue to set the man up. Everyone is on to the game now, so keep it up. You all are just burying your party over time.
