1. A perusal of any of the Leftist movements will reveal that all have 'domination' of their fellow citizens as their goal.

The term itself means....
a.Control or power over another or others.

b.The exercise of such control or power.
The Free Dictionary

That domination is produced, largely, via indoctrination...but just as regularly, by genocide, slaughter, government enforced famine, and by bullets.....followed by indoctrination of those who survive.

2. In modern times, whether communism, socialism, Marxism, Nazism, Progressivism, or modern Liberalism.......the view can be traced to Hegel, and to Marx.

a. The Germans have a history of embracing authoritarian rule. As the German philosopher Hegel said, “The state says … you must obey …. The state has rights against the individual; its members have obligations, among them that of obeying without protest”

b. We can find the very same view under Franklin Roosevelt's reign, heard in these words of A.B. “Happy” Chandler, a former Kentucky governor: “[A]ll of us owe the government; we owe it for everything we have—and that is the basis of obligation—and the government can take everything we have if the government needs it. . . . The government can assert its right to have all the taxes it needs for any purpose, either now or at any time in the future.” From a speech delivered on the Senate floor May 14, 1943
Happy Chandler’s dangerous statism

To see a very different view, one traditionally American....hear the echo of Henry David Thoreau: “There will never be a really free and enlightened State until the State comes to recognize the individual as a higher and independent power, from which all of its own power and authority are derived.” Thoreau’s On the duty of Civil Disobedience,

3. To the view that every individual must bow to the collective, Karl Marx added murder as an inducement:

"Early socialists publically advocated genocide, in the 19th and 20th centuries. It first appeared in Marx's journal, Rheinishe Zeitung, in January of 1849. When the socialist class war happens, there will be primitive societies in Europe, two stages behind- not even capitalist yet- the Basques, the Bretons, the Scottish Highlanders, the Serbs, and others he calls 'racial trash,' and they will have to be destroyed because, being two stages behind in the class struggle, it will be impossible to bring them up to being revolutionary." George Watson, Historian, Cambridge University.

a. "The classes and races, too weak to master the new conditions of life, must give way...they must perish in the revolutionary holocaust." Karl Marx, People's Paper, April 16, 1856, Journal of the History of Idea, 1981

b. "Before Marx, no other European thinker publically advocated racial extermination. He was the first." George Watson.

Yet, note how many have been trained to accept subjugation, and domination.
65 million American voted for the latest iteration of totalitarian governance....the one currently in the White House.

Then perhaps, instead of the goofy, simplistic, binary, cartoonish, embarrassing, absolutist silliness the public is now getting from the party, the GOP could instead choose to offer the electorate a clear, bold, inspiring, intelligent, specific, mature, and positive vision for the future of America.

For a change.

Just an idea.

I'm not sure how she gets genocide is unique to all the political philopshies she can call "Socialism". There were plenty of genocides that were done in the name of "Freedom" and "Capitalism" that were just as bad, such as the genocide of Native Americans on this continent or the genocide of aborigines in Australia....

But to the point, without even bothering to track down all of her misattributed quotes,

You know like this one..

Marx and damned made-up quotes

Sorry, Marx never said that.

But even leaving that one alone. The fact is, human beings have a history of being pretty damned shitty to each other. To single out one philosophy and then try to conflate it into the source of all evil is pretty dishonest.

I certainly agree.
Not only is it an excellent idea....but it is a proven winning idea!
And.....it has been done:

Here's the fly in the ointment.
The only way for the electorate to make an intelligent, informed decision would be a fair and unbiased press.
And that ship left long ago.

And ironically, it's none other than conservative media that has obviously inspired the movement's current behaviors.

Your education continues:

In an article on socialism in the Encyclopedia Britannica, Prof. G. D. H. Cole, a leading theoretician and historian of the British Labor Party, declares: The distinction between socialism as distinguished by various Labor and Socialist parties of Europe and the New World, and communism, as represented by the Russians and minority parties in other countries is one of tactics-and-strategy rather than one of objective.

Communism is indeed only socialism pursued by revolutionary means and making its revolutionary method a canon of faith...." In The Communist Manifesto, Marx and Engels stated that communist ends can be attained "only by the forcible overthrow
of all existing social conditions."

That's because you never studied history .....or philosophy.
I have.

Well, my degree comes from a real university and not an on-line one like yours.

But I digress.

a. "The classes and races, too weak to master the new conditions of life, must give way...they must perish in the revolutionary holocaust." Karl Marx, People's Paper, April 16, 1856, Journal of the History of Idea, 1981

Marx and damned made-up quotes

First, the date of this made-up quote is wrong. There is no article dated “April 16, 1856”. The part of this made-up quote: “The classes and the races too weak to master the new conditions of life must give way…” originates from the article “Forced emigration”[3] which was written on March 4, 1853.

The second “sentence” from the made-up quote which states: “They must perish in the revolutionary Holocaust” can’t be found in any Marx’s article and the term “holocaust” can’t be found anywhere in the collected Marx-Engels works. Simply, it’s a fabrication of these anti-cultural-Marxists who think that everyone else is stupid (such blockheads like them who quote unread works) so they can be mislead to accredit in this slander directed against Marx. However, there are people who in every instant can check the authenticity of every quote from Marx’s or Engels’ work because these people have at their disposal all the works of these thinkers in 46 volumes (Serbian-Croatian edition, Prosveta, Beograd).

This is the tenth time you've started this same thread. Why don't you just use one of the others if you want to repeat yourself?

What's keeping you is that you learn new things in every one of the threads....and..as is true in every single case.....

....you will not be able to claim that by the time the thread ends.

Take notes.

That's because you never studied history .....or philosophy.
I have.

Well, my degree comes from a real university and not an on-line one like yours.

But I digress.

Not only is my education and my alma mater far better than yours....but only one of us has 'valedictorian' in their resume.

The facts of history...which, clearly, you never studied, prove the validity of the quote.

Yes, Children, this is what happens when you let a Mail Order Bride take on line philosophy classes from the University of Phoenix. The resulting spew of crazy is amusing to watch.

Now...here, again, I'll provide the direction that is so lacking in your education:

Even your pal Jonah Goldberg says Socialism and Communism are not the same.

Is he wrong?

Translation:

Democratic Socialism is not Communism,

therefore you lie every time you make any such claim.

Hey look an anonymous clown on the internet claiming to have been a valedictorian somewhere.

That will not matter one bit to the losers.

1. A perusal of any of the Leftist movements will reveal that all have 'domination' of their fellow citizens as their goal.

You're back, nice

I didn't bother to read your entire spam but let me guess... socialists, communists, liberals, nazis etc. are all the same and totally evil. It all started with that commie FDR and it has been going downhill ever since, only homeschooling and Ayn Rand can save the homeland according to the goddess Coulter and the visionary with alzheimers, St Ronnie.

And you're still clueless about what socialism actually is

:alcoholic:

Don't fret. Her kind are being systemically exterminated by progress.
