I didn't know there was a book about it. It's probably much better than this sucky movie. But, I gotta watch it all the way through now I guess. However, I am rollin' my eyes and by commercial time, I'm dizzy.

she and her husband never had kids..the movie was meant to be an inspirational movie...yes it was predictable....over acted and with an total religious agenda....but it is exactly what one would expect from dolly

What rubbed me the wrong way about the film was her parents having one kid after another when they knew that they could not give the kids what they needed.

Coat of many colors isn't based on dolls adult life, it's based on her childhood.
