CDZ Does John Kerry deserve a Nobel Peace Prize?

Once the sale goes through it'll be safe to buy Heinz Ketchup again without worrying that your money is going to feed Kerry's habits. So, maybe if he facilitated the sale, a minor Nobel Prize for Economics could be justified?

Or maybe not....

This thread, generated mostly on April 1 and 2, has been interesting to read now that the first efflorescence of "The Nobel Prize Winning Deal" has worn off.

Here on just the 10th of April, it looks like Obama and Kerry just pretended they had a deal because their "Sure Enough Final Last Deadline" had passed...and now that they have put out their unilateral "Fact Sheet", Iranian officials are calling them liars.

Obama originally said he would try to deal with these zealots for 6 months---that was a year and a half ago--and the centrifuges are still spinning.

I think, from the news I can gather, that Obama/Kerry lied to the American people about a "Framework" being reached in order to get 3 more months in which to try to make a viable deal with mullahs and ayatollahs--which, in itself, is evidence of incompetency and foolishness, or possibly treachery...such as selling out the American people for the personal aim of a Nobel Prize.

I believe Kerry should be relieved of the post has has obtained through the singular qualification of having married a Ketchup Heiress who bought him some nice offices. She can get him a new one---there must be something he is qualified for---say Honorary Yacht Captain.

Wouldn't it be merry if Kerry won a Nobel Prize. (Obviously those Socialists in Norway will hand them out for no ascertainable reason.)

Then he would run for President!!!!

An we could enjoy the spectacle of Bill Clinton's bogus wife (who would likely be a night court judge in some sequestered borough of some rotting Northern city if she hadn't married a rogue who happened to be a political genius) against the husband of the Ketchup Heiress (who would have likely be a Net Man on a New England fishing trawler if he had not married the Ketchup Heiress).

Both would tell us how they mean to take care of the common man.

Nobel Prize is not till January

Plenty of time for Kerry to wrap up a deal and be recognized

The only ones who will disagree are Radical Iran and Republicans

Saudi Arabia will be the next to get a nuke. They hate the Iranians. I wonder if Nobel offers a prize for "Stimulating an Arms Race in the Middle East"? If so Kerry is sure to win.

.

Is there a Nobel nuke proliferation prize?
If you think this promotes peace, the first thing resolved should have been the destruction of another Nation by our new bff's, Iran.
This has nothing to do with peace. Just like taking Cuba off the terrorist list makes Cuba anything other than.....

Sunni and Shia are at one another's throats and Kerry knows this yet has essentially ignored Iran's belligerence and the potential this creates for an all-out Sunni versus Shia war in the region. What is Iran supporting:

"The Iranian-backed Hezbollah movement holds sway in Lebanon; Iranian-backed fighters have been instrumental in propping up President Bashar al-Assad in Syria; and in Iraq, Iranian-backed militias wield power over more territory than the Iraqi army."

"With its intervention in Yemen, Saudi Arabia is serving notice that it will no longer tolerate Iran’s unchecked expansion — nor will it count on the United States to protect its interests in the Middle East, Alani said."

.......

"Alani blamed the United States and its pursuit of a deal with Iran for the expansion of Iranian influence that triggered the Saudi intervention."

"“It is not only the Iranian nuclear bomb that is an issue, it is Iranian behavior that is equal to a nuclear bomb,” he said."

(Alani mentioned in the above quote is "Mustafa Alani of the Dubai-based Gulf Research Center"")

How the Yemen conflict risks new chaos in the Middle East - The Washington Post

Kerry is in fact adding to the tensions in the Middle East while trying to assure all parties that everything will be alright:

"Secretary of State John Kerry sharply warned Iran over its backing for the other side of the conflict in Yemen, in the first explicit American accusation that Tehran has been providing military aid to the Houthis."

"Washington was “not going to stand by while the region is destabilized,” Mr. Kerry said in an interview with “PBS NewsHour” on Wednesday night."

"“There are obviously supplies that have been coming from Iran,” he added. “There are a number of flights every single week that have been flying in. We trace those flights, and we know this. We are well aware of the support that Iran has been giving to Yemen.”"

........

"In another statement, released over Twitter along with some of his other remarks, the ayatollah further teased Saudi Arabia about its pledge to catch up to Iran in the development of a nuclear weapon."

"“An underdeveloped country said that ‘If Iran has enrichment, we want it too,’ ” he said. “Well, do it if you can. Nuclear technology is our domestic capability.”"

........

"Saudi Arabia, which is leading a regional coalition against the Houthis, issued its own warning to Iran, saying that two Iranian warships that recently arrived in the waters off Yemen should steer clear of Yemeni waters. “If the ships seek to aid the Houthis, the coalition has the right to choose the proper answer,” said a spokesman, Brig. Gen. Ahmad Asseri."

"In another provocation, Saudi Arabia denied permission for an Iranian plane filled with pilgrims to land in Mecca."

How can anyone believe that Kerry is promoting peace in the region? This Administration's foreign policy must have been modeled and guided by Neville Chamberlain's belief that "I have returned from Germany with peace for our time.".

All of this would be funny, if it wasn't so damn tragic.

Lets see....

Silver Star for bravery
Bronze Star for bravery
Three Purple Hearts for being wounded in defense of his country

Nobel Prize?

Well deserved

The argument presented is that Kerry deserved the Nobel Peace Prize. I had no idea you could get one by going to War.

Is the OP trolling?

If its not a joke, I wonder who is paying him. In the absence of any enlightenment on that, I will assume it is the Ketchup Heiress---Kerry's wife and life sponsor.

Just summarizing Kerry's Major awards so far...

A Nobel for an Iranan Peace Initiative would be well deserved

Would you care to respond in detail to my post # 109? I can understand that avoiding it helps you to preserve your fantasy regarding Kerry.

He got injured in a firefight against no actual discernible enemy and by blowing up a rice storage bin. Puffed Rice in the ass = one of his Purple Hearts. Kerry was a lying skunk then and basically, nothing has changed.

The navy checked the awards and said all was in order.

Nah. They just objected to the hypocrisy of the left wing hacks who claimed that W had somehow failed to serve. You know, shit heads like Dan (fucking left wing "news" distorter) Rather.
