People tend to collect things they like.
Do you have any collections to share?
Cars? Guns? Thimbles? Spoons? Beanie Babies?
Maybe three things, so we don't get too crazy.
Who knows, maybe we can find some common ground instead of hating on each other over political differences.
Post some pics if you have them handy!

Interesting. Any super rare cards?
I've got some old bottle openers around here somewhere.
I like ones from long dead beer brands.

The Bassett Card is from 1887.

The Alcindor is not "Rare" but it is Valuable.

I don't recognize the guy, but it sure looks old.
You meant 1987, right? That fashion didn't exist in 1887!
I'm more of a NFL/UFC guy.

Edit: Oh, the baseball card is the old one. Didn't see that at first.

Avoiding the problem of finding common ground is only counter-productive.

Perhaps, but I sometimes wonder if I'd be friends with some of my political opponents here, if we met IRL in a non-political environment.

I guess I'd be remiss in my thread if I didn't add my own collections:
1. Music gear (mostly electric guitars and high end fuzz pedals).
2. Watches (although I've been pruning my collection down recently).
3. $100 dollar bills (an expensive habit I picked up from a friend in LA years ago).

Back when I was a wee lad, I collected all of the original Kenner Star Wars figures from the original three movies.

I have them individually sealed in separate sealed baggies, the only one I am missing is Yak man, which was only sold in England. They are in storage now.

If someone would offer me three grand for the entire collection and ships, and would shed it in a heart beat.

I am a minimalist, I own very, very little material items now. Thoreau would be at home at my place - other than being trapped in just outside of a suburban area. . . :sigh2:

Material possessions & clutter generally drive me bonkers.
