I'm talking about the last 30 years.
Does anyone have any examples of really good GOP policies that helped a lot of regular Americans?
From the few Republicans who dared to comment, it looks like the answer is "no".
Do must Republicans feel this way:
Rottweiler commenting on Healthcare: That's exactly right. The American people don't deserve shit.
I think this kind of proves why the country gets so damaged when Republicans are in charge. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
In the last 30 years? Tax cuts and the balance budget Republicans gave us. (Unfortunately briefly) That alone has done more for the nation than the party of slavery and segregation has ever done for this nation.
Democrats raised taxes under Clinton and that's why Republicans were voted into office. It was Democrats who balanced the budget. The deficit creating Bush Tax Cuts went mostly to the wealthy.
Look at how much went to just the top 1% alone.
Selfish, self centered, and greedy pretty well describes this batch of liberal/socialists. They cannot understand why the people who earn the most will benefit the most from any tax cuts. That is because they do not want to understand. Much like a six year old not understanding why that candy bar is not a good idea before supper.
They do not understand that the super wealthy, the 1%ers, make most of their money from capital gains, and consequently are little affected by income tax rates. They do not understand that income tax rates hit those getting rich the hardest, and yet, those are the same people they expect to create jobs for themselves and others.
All they understand, is that some people live high on the hog, and others are well off, while they are flipping burgers and just surviving. That is not fair, and that is all they care to know about the subject. Selfish, self centered, greedy little pigs that figure society owes them a better deal and they are out to collect.
