It is beyond stupid to argue over which of the 2 parties of the corrupt duopoly is more fiscally responsible.So, realistically that takes that issue off of the table.

He didnt give 2 shits about the National debt. Which seems to be the standard now. I mean, his successor and predecessor alone are responsible for 50% of it. Trump alone is responsible for around 25% of it.

It appears that Republicans are trying to push the country into a recession in order to boost their election chances in 2024.
All of the major economic commentators and forecasters have said that the Republican debt ceiling plan would cost the nation over 1 million jobs and plunge the country into recession.
Given the Republican history of party over country at every turn, and the refusal to pass, any bills that would provide relief or aid to working Americans, It’s not a stretch to believe that the Republicans would sabotage the economy in order to regain power.
