Did you right wing dolts ever apologize to Michael Schiavo?

What is it the Left has with the Right apologizing? We're supposed to apologize here, we're supposed to apologize to Clinton because the gov of SC had an affair--what is it?
I mean, has the left ever apologized for anything?
Did the apologize for their support of known communists?
Did they apologize for their support of the N.Vietnamese?
Did they apologize for Bill Clinton?
Did they apologize for 9/11?
Did they apologize for their gross hypocrisy in the way they treated Sarah Palin?
Did they apologize to Robert Bork for the treatment they gave him?
Did they apologize to Clarence Thomas for the treatment they gave him?
Did they apologize to Estrada for what they did to him?
Did they apologize to any of Bush's appointees for hanging them out to dry?
Did they apologize to John Bolton, who in the interim was probably the best UN ambassador we ever had?
Did they apologize for Bella Abzug, for existing?
The answer in every case is no.

BTW as far as im concerned, he lost his right as next of kin when he started shacking up with his new woman. Second that happened, he has a huge conflict of interest.

What did the left ever do to Ponch?

No, Miguel Estrada, the appointee to the court of appeals, not Erik Estrada the actor.
Although I am sure they did something to him worthy of apology.

Terri Schiavo case
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

just the facts ma'am...

-------

Did the paranoid right ever apologize for all the slanders thrown Michale Schaivo's way?

We had a right wing nut Senator who also happened to be a sleazy MD with interests in nursing homes (nursing homes that ... from tax payers) mis-diagnosing Terri's condition from the Senate floor. :cuckoo:

We had the wacky religious right going after this guy as a murderer (paranoid fantasies are common when attacking people over the so called 'right to life' issues).

How about you people here? Ever say something about Michael Schiavo or Terri's condition that was just plain idiocy?

Schiavo Autopsy Released
Brain Damage 'Was Irreversible'

even the damned Pope got IT wrong thinking these vegetative states are people who are alive/sentient...

gawd, the right wing fringe (that is leading the GOP these days) is unworthy of a hearing in civilized discussion.

d.

:slap: Michael Schiavo was a complete fucking dick, simply because he *could* be. No apology necessary. Put yourself in the parents position for 10 lousy minutes, and your tune would change.

He was next of kin. That's all that matters if one doesn't have an advance directive.

That's all that matters in the eyes of the law...but there is a difference between legal and right.
And who do you suggest doctors take direction from?

If you don't want your next of kin making decisions for you, I'd suggest you get an advance directive and name a DPA to do so.

What ever happened to "First do no harm"?

Why would you not want to go ahead and allow a person's mother and father to do that if it's not going to cost you anything?
cuz some things in this life AREN'T ABOUT MONEY.

What ever happened to "First do no harm"?
Don't quote oaths you don't understand.

You're right. Some things in this life aren't just about money.

You can say the words, but you sure as hell don't seem to understand them.

On the flip side, I can't believe this conversation still pisses me off this many years later...

I'm right wing. I'm neither a dolt nor do I owe Schaivo an apology for a thing. I didn't care about this case in the least and I don't want anyone making an apology on my behalf.

you're the one incorrectly quoting - don't turn this on me overstepping my understanding

"first do no harm" refers to not doing anything. that includes feeding/hydrating/moving/touching patients to do NO harm - nothing. The part you should have referenced was "then do good", and that is clearly a hazy subject.

Whatever you want to be in life, I beg you to stay as far away from the medical profession as humanly possible.

...or at least everyone elses daughters... :doubt:

Lesson in all this: Make sure you have your end-of-life priorities in order.

Easy to say when you're in your 50's, 40's, etc.. But with someone as young as Terri was, believe it or not, incapacitation and/or dying is the last thing you think about...

Nope. But then again I'm not a right wing dolt.

You didn't answer the question. From whom should doctors take direction? A patient has the absolute right to refuse any treatment; when the patient is unable to speak for themselves, the next of kin or DPA is afforded that right. Following those directives is not considered "harm".
