A lot of conservatives are screaming that Obama demeaned the office of the Presidency when he was interviewed by Zach Gallifinakas on his web broadcast "Between 2 Ferns".

A lot of them said that it's beneath the office of the President, and Obama has diminished his office by doing so, because there are no other Presidents who would have considered doing so.

Got news for you.........Ike appeared on the Colgate Comedy Hour, Nixon appeared on Laugh In, and Jr. appeared on a game show.

They did it to get better exposure with more of the country and get out their message. Obama did it because he thought that it would be a good idea, especially considering that a lot of young people watch that webcast, and he wanted to get the word out to younger people as to what the ACA is all about.

Guess what? It worked. Obamacare referrals from the show were in the hundreds of thousands, and the traffic on the ACA website was up 40 percent the following day after the webcast.

Nope.................sorry...............it didn't demean the office, and it actually worked for the reasons it was done.

Just more proof that the conservatives are looking for any reason to bitch about Obama.

Obama demeans the office just about on a daily basis, so i wasn't offended by this, it's typical. The problem is Obamacare sucks so bad they have to keep wasting millions of dollars on propaganda and keep pulling stunts like this to make any headway. At the rate they're going, by mid 2015 the sign ups might equal the amount cancelled by this piece of crap law.......

He demeaned it the day he claimed that the day he was elected was the day the world would remember as the day the seas "stopped rising".

Of course he didn't.....but it was a very effective way to get the word out about the Obamacare website. And this is what really chaps RW hides.

No.

Bush did more damage in Beijing when he showed up drunk.

Reagan was a b-list actor who appeared with a chimp.

People didn't find that demeaning.

wow, I'm just quoting this so you can't edit away how ignorant you are.

What is ignorant about that statement? If Reagan had made movies with Bonzo and then tried to run for governor in Iowa (instead of California) he would have spent the rest of his days as a character actor on "Hawaii 5-0" and "Dynasty".

Someone who absolutely embarrassed himself in front on a national audience:

Meh, Obama cannot demean or disgrace to office more than he already has.

How dumb are you that I need to explain this?

my
fucking
god

ok, for the short bus;

obama did a shitty comedy sketch while he is the sitting Pres.
Reagan did his show YEARS before becoming Gov, which was YEARS before becoming Pres.

I'd like to think this explanation worked, but I know liberals can't learn, but at least I tried.

He had to read his (un)aca plug points from the damn teleprompter .... again.

You'd think the great potus orator would be able to memorize 20 lines or so.

Lame.
