The issue you're looking for in the Constitution is about equality. The govt should treat citizens equally under the law. They can't treat them differently because of race, religion, skin color, gender, age etc. By targeting Muslims from outside of the US in the manner the US govt is doing, it also sends a message to US Muslims that they're not equal, that their govt doesn't like them etc.

If you ban Muslims because years after they gain citizenship they COULD, POTENTIALLY, MAYBE because terrorists, it's suggesting that the govt doesn't trust ANY Muslims at all.

Actions have consequences, it's about time the right realized that this is the case. Just pretending that it's fine, like when the US invaded Iraq and pretended that it was "liberating" the people and expected, even demanded, to be treated as friendly liberators shows just how lacking in reality people's views can be.
