Despite Massachusetts debacle, Democrats still don't get it

Voters in Massachusetts sent a clear message to the Democratic Party, but the message might as well have been written in Sanskrit. Democrats here in Iowa and nationwide are showing their ignorance. America is a center-right country. We want less government, less spending, and more competence. The Democrats continue to offer the opposite.

Denial is a powerful thing. Couple that with their incredible hubris and it comes as no surprise at all at what they are doing. They're idiots.

Actually they have gotten completely the opposite message. Obama's new track is to turn "populist", which in his universe means vilifying banks, brokerage houses, etc. He doesn't get it. People don't want that. People want a concrete plan that will lift us out of this recession. So far he has offered plans that don't do anything but reward his cronies.

The good news is that the Dums are assuring themselves a big ole defeat in November.

As the article states, they always have to blame someone else and have an enemy. Everything is the fault of Bush, Palin, the Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, etc. Now it's those greedy bankers.

They do not understand the electorate at all. The anger is at THEM.

The Dems have already moved on.

The new distraction is to claim the USSC is for 'the GoP' and that banks are bad guys who must be taxed and taxed again.

It won't be soon enough when Barry the assclown is finally out of office.

Im pretty sure they were saying that before the election next week as well... not sure what changed.

While the verdict is still out as to what the current administartion "learned", if anything fromm the Scott Brown victory, you should not forget that it was Bush and the GOP controlled Congress that spent reckelssly, inicreased the size of government and increased our debt the last time they had control. Be careful who you are calling ignorant.

OK, I am carefully calling you ignorant. WHo was it who controlled Congress for the last 3 years? Hmm? Was it the GOP? Nope, don't think so.
Blame Bush has gotten old. Dems need a new gig.

I think it is great news.................even yesterday, a prominent administration official said, "Hey......we're not setting any re-set button!" Obama aides dismiss shake-up talk but enlist help - Yahoo! News

This is awesome news if you are a conservative:clap2:............let them continue down the path of political decimation heading to the elections!! This couldnt be proceeding any better...........Americans have just forgotten over the last generation how disasterous liberal public policy is. Alot of voters werent around for the Carter years when America was starting to feel like a third world nation. This is a nice reminder to independents to remember to check the nominee's voting record and take it literally. These mental cases like Obama are ideologues.........dont know how to be politically astute. Its the Saul Alinsky playbook and Chicago syle politics. Radical far left = grow government BIG no matter the cost.

Jimmy Carter is viewed as an overwhelming portrait of Epic Fail by history...........a veritable joke. Obama is making a b-line for the same thing. The only people who fail to see it are the 21%ers.

Look dickhead. If you want to be hyper partisan, then go for it. However, disputing the fact that the GOP controlled Congress and President Bush spent like drunken sailors will only lead to more losses by the GOP as they did in 06 and 08.

You're right about what the Republicans did wrong, and it cost them dearly in the '06 and
'08 elections. And one would, logically, conclude when the Dims took over they'd avoid such mistakes. But instead they're acting like the Republicans, but on steroids. And what have they got to show for it thus far? Virginia...New Jersey...Massachusetts...and counting.

Hey, truth hurts I know.
The Dums swept into power in 06 precisely on reforming the system, getting rid of earmarks, and instilling "fiscal discipline". There is not one of those things they have accomplished. All of them are worse now than before. Blaming the GOP for their own failures will net the Dums minority party status after Nov.
But keep doing it. Please. Dumshit.

As usual s0n............you display the political IQ of cheap pencil eraser.

The only people talking about Bush and the GOP are Obama and the 21%ers.............nobody else. In fact, its to the point here in 2010 that Obama talking about "the past 8 years" is now a political victory for the right!! Nobody cares anymore..................

How compelling huh??!!!!

I agree with THIS conclusion 100%. The Democrats have hurt themselves bad. Time will tell how the react. Thank you for not playing partisan politics, unlike some assholes on this board.

I agree also. The Dems are looking just as bad as the Reps did in 06 and 08. They have now learned that the left wing aganda ain't gonna fly. They are jumping off the Good Ship Obama already. Another is now going to retire rather than run in Nov.

Wondering if history will repeat itself with the Reps or if they have learned the valuable lesson the Dems apparantly did not. Only time will tell.

The GOP got spanked for bending over to the Dums and not passing traditional Republican legislation. The lesson they ought to learn is to court the more conservative Democrats on budget and foreign policy issues and marginalize the left wingers.

This is such a tired refrain. I don't think too many people are lost on the fact that both parties are guilty of doing too damned much spending; the Dems though are inclined to be a bit worse (to put it very mildly) about it than the Pubs. Dems have had their chance at it now for 3+ years and they blew it big time. Time is now to hold all their feet to the fire. Enough is enough. No more reckless spending.

Do you agree that invading and eventually occupying Iraq was indeed, "reckless spending"?

Naa, we'll wait until the reckless spending republicans get back into power if that ever happens. Then we'll hold feet to the fire.

But of course. It's the saudis who should have been attacked. But I wasn't in charge, so....
Then we'll hold feet to the fire.
Just the Pubs, not the Dems? Oh, yeah, that's a reeeal bright approach.
