Being North Carolina has made it clear it is a Very Red and Very "Anti-Obama State", The DNC are getting antsy and have no idea what to do.
Can they still rebook the venture? Is there any safe place in a red state to hold the 4 night comedy show?
Never mind Virginia,Florida,Iowa,Michigan,Nevada,Colorado and the others, they will laugh the thugs right out of their states for the economic destruction O'Bozo caused them.

Maybe they can just hold it in East LA, or one of the more gay districts in San Fransisco, The Obama's will be welcome there. But the residents will keep their dogs at home for the 4 day weekend.

Obama made a calculated risk. He thought by coming out( no pun intended...or .....) for gay marriage, he could sway the vote in NC. Also it was to test the waters on his chances of taking NC in the general election.

Democrats, angry over the passage of the controversial anti-gay marriage “Amendment One,” have begun petitioning to move the 2012 convention from Charlotte, although Democratic officials insisted on Wednesday that there won’t be change in location. Nearly 20,000 people have signed a petition called “Move the Convention” from the New York-based Gay Marriage USA, calling for the convention to be in a “state that upholds equality and liberty, and treats ALL citizens equally.”

I live near Charlotte. All we hear is how short the DNC is on funding for their Soiree.
Far left wing groups pissed off at Obama because he has not kept promises made during his campaign. Unions upset that NC is the second least unionized state are also not kicking in much cash. In fact unions tried to muscle in on the construction and deconstruction of the set ups at Time Warner Arena with little success.
This is perhaps the least democrat friendly convention site choice in quite some time or even , ever.
Even though Charlotte, The Raleigh Durham area and Asheville are heavily deomcrat, Obama will struggle to gin up much support in the other 94 counties.
