My oldest son lives in Japan with his Japanese wife (he has dual citizenship)
Japan is the only country that had a net loss of population last year.

Not only do they pay their citizens to have kids via the tax laws, Japanese law states that women may have up to one year of maternity leave then return to their jobs!

The situation is so bad that they are seriously considering giving retirement benefits to foreigners as a recruiting tool.

Japan needs to do this. Mad Scientist already pointed out how they have a net loss of a population last year. Hopefully this will help more people come to Japan and have children.

Hard to imagine an Island with this city has a serious population problem...but it's true. Perhaps they ought to ease immigration restrictions, as well?
