The roles of Repubs and Democrats simply reversed over the past 150 years -- Democrats became the party that looked out for the poor and middle class and fought against racism, while Repugs become the party that looked out for the richest 1% and embraced racism. The transformation started with Roosevelt in the 1930s pushing Social Security and other poor and middle class initiatives and ended with Johnson in the 1960s pushing for the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The racist Southern Dixiecrats from the 1960s joined the Repug Party which is a major reason why the Repug Party is so fucking worthless today.

You vote Repug and against your best economic interest year after year because it is your tea bagger peasant duty to protect the wealth of your rich Repug feudal masters.
