Former Rep. Tom Suozzi (D) has won back his old seat in the House, giving Democrats a critical pickup that will further narrow the GOP House majority, according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ.

Suozzi defeated Republican Mazi Pilip in the special election to fill the seat vacated by former Rep. George Santos (R), who was expelled from his seat in December in the aftermath of criminal charges being filed against him and the many false claims he made about his background.

yep republicans let this happen knowing the Dem game plan openly admitting they would chip away at every single Republican Seat they could steal through ethics complaints and extortion intimidation in order to obstruct the criminal investigations of corrupt Polititians like Pres Biden.
This is what happens when you
1) don't file obstruction and abuse of power charges, and
2) don't require an equal removal of ethic violating dems which outnumber the Republicans up for review. Equal justice required removal from office based on similar acts from some of the squad members and even Biden himself.
But Republicans did not require an equal playing field, and here we are slowly seeing corruption win. The system is officially broken, the leftists keep voting straight line corruption and people, including dead voters keep electing these corruption supporting polititians.

A recent poll of 13 Independent voters in NY had Trump winning 11 of the votes. They called him a narcissist and egotistical which if he were wise he would reign in a bit. However, they liked his policies, his forwardness with Americans and the direct the U.S was heading in under his watch.

I'm not really sure the term "flip" is totally appropriate here. The seat has been solid blue for a long time, accept for when one of the biggest liars of all time won the seat.
