It's different this time, Bendog. Bernie is every bit a socialist and as even admitted as much with his ideas. He calls it
democratic socialism....thing is there is no such thing as "democratic socialism".

Bernie is a decent man. I’ve talked to him many times in the past. Trump is not a decent man. He is a racist asshole who will not be getting my vote.

How can you say that?
If Bernie was president, he would be bent on changing our form of government to start lining up with globalization.

That does not mean he would succeed. The Republicans would make sure of that.

For your information I work 50 hours per week, I teach bass, and play in 5 bands. Not exactly lazy.

At first glance, I see a very stupid poll that suggests anyone who isn't a socialist is implied to be a fascist, and that is bullshit. Fascism is about total gov't control, something the Right is obviously not for. Similarly, anyone who isn't a fascist is implied to be a socialist, and that bullshit too.

That's not the point at all. I'm not trying to imply that anyone who isn't a socialist is a fascist, nor that anyone who isn't a fascist is a socialist. I'm pretty sure most Americans are neither. But that's the choice our two-party death spiral is presenting us.

When you present a poll with only two choices and ask who are you voting for in 2020, you are implying that whoever a person votes for between the two supports Fascism or Socialism.

Yep. Less of two evils is still evil. These are the choices the major parties are driving toward. The only sane thing to do is to say no.

But dude! The lesser of 2 evils is still LESS EVIL! You know it's gonna be one or the other, how do you not vote for the lesser of 2 evils? Hell's bells man, I've been voting for the lesser of 2 evils since Reagan, it's irresponsible not to vote for the least evil candidate.

If we're so beat down we're willingly voting for evil, I can't care which evil wins. We're already fucked.

Yeah I think full out socialism requires the state to allocate capital to production of various goods services infrastructure rather than market decisions by individual.

Both Allende in Chili and the early Sandanistas followed that formula, more or less, but both said they would abide by the results of elections. Whether or not they'd have done so without the application of US force is something we don't know. The more socialist leaning western European countries, are market based, but have stronger social service safety nets that we have.

No comment on the desirability or efficiency of any system or country.
