Seems that the new "must have" toy this Christmas is turning out to be a dud. There are lots of reports that the Hatchimal toy where kids play with them to make them hatch and grow up aren't hatching.

Did anyone have this happen to them this Christmas?

Much more so on a dud that doesn't hatch!

At least it isn't buying pets for Christmas that get dumped afterwards
because the kids can't take care of them. I guess it could be worse!

Those things were 300 BUCKS????? If I was a parent that bought a defective toy that expensive, I'd be looking for every way to get my money back.

There was a story on the news tonight about a 5 year old boy who damn near had a breakdown trying to get it to hatch.

Thinking about it, boy do I really feel sorry for those parents who bought them for their 3~6 year olds, those little kids must have been heart broken.. For $300 bucks they should have included a hammer, just in case. lol

When I was a kid you could go to a local pet shop and get a fertile egg and incubate it until it hatches.

Then you would have a pet chick to feed.

When it grows up there would be a grown chicken running around in your back yard.

For $300 you could buy enough real fertile eggs to start your own chicken ranch.

Fryers sell for $5 each.

Revenue would be $1500.

Not sure what chicken feed runs these days.

Them things being so much doesn't surprise me. If one thing is over priced, another thing could be as well.
