DACA was an attempt to "triage" and prioritize who can stay and who needs to go. And the children brought across the border BY THEIR PARENTS who have little ties to Mexico are a pretty clear case of a LOW priority immigration problem.

OTH -- DACA CREATED major problems in giving the impression to Central America that the US was opening up the largest orphanage on the Planet. And set off MASS migration of unescorted minors, riding the death trains thru Mexico and getting played by smugglers and slavers on their journeys. THAT'S the distinction that needs to be made. If they came WITH family -- they qualified for conditional status. If they were SENT HERE thinking the US has the ability or will to keep 10s of thousands HOUSED in gymnasiums and adopting them out --- they are mistaken.

It was a literal ethical disaster seeing these unescorted Minors, abused and housed in gyms for months and years and being "wards of the states". One of the unintended consequences of leftists who really don't DESIGN policy and don't know how things work..

DACA created no such problems. and the numbers clearly show that population migration from south of our border dropped as our economy got worse.

but what is being done to these people is disgusting. and anyone moral should acknowledge that.

70,000 kids will show up alone at our border this year. What happens to them?

These PARENTLESS minors were not at all affected "by the economy" since they became orphans of the State. And they DID NOT return to Central America. And it's further fucked up by the fact, that within this segment of "dreamer" that MANY of the gang members or potential RECRUITS for gang membership came into America.

Don't Tell These DREAMers To Join The Military. They're Trying.

WASHINGTON — In Facebook groups for DACA recipients enlisted in the US military, tweets telling them they should join the military to stay in the country were shared this week with grim irony: There's nothing they'd like more.

“All we want to do is serve," said William Medeiros, a 24-year old Army recruit who runs one of the groups. "We enlisted and had our whole lives planned, and now we’re just waiting. They’re using us, our lives, as a bargaining chip.”

Even before the Trump administration's announcement Tuesday that it would end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, the Pentagon had been imposing increasingly strict background checks on immigrants who'd enlisted in the US military through a program that offers a fast track to citizenship in exchange for highly sought language and medical skills. Those recruits includes many with DACA status, who've been allowed to enlist since 2014 and now face an uncertain future.

On Tuesday night, Breitbart News presented a photo of MS-13 gang members in El Salvador as if they were DACA recipients in the United States.

The photo of El Salvadoran gangsters appeared at the top of an article about DACA recipients on Breitbart’s website and on its Twitter account. Twitter user @_Almaqah traced the image back to a Getty photo from January 2013 showing gang members gesturing in San Salvador.

The fact is that DACA is anything but dead. Trump has already tweeted that Dreamers will not be deported and if Congress does not act then he will revisit his decision to rescind DACA. He actually supports DACA but will not admit it. The Dreamers will stay and that is how we will stick it to McConnell and Ryan.
