When the Republicans chose Mr. Steele, it was NOT a secret that the leaders of the party wanted to make a statement: We are an inclusive party and invite the support of ALL Americans.

We are all adults.

We know that merit is not always the sole criterion for choosing leaders. Often times in our unique country, we wish to make an implied statement.
