Could Bernie's ego lose the presidency and take the Senate off the table?

All this angst .. for nothing. :0)

Who doesn't see this coming?

Bernie Sanders Not Rejecting Spot On Ticket With Hillary Clinton

With his chances of capturing the Democratic presidential nomination virtually nil, Sen. Bernie Sanders declined to rule out accepting an offer to be Hillary Clinton’s running mate.

With just a handful of primaries left, Sanders trails the former secretary of state in the delegate count by 274 pledged delegates and 486 superdelegates. Clinton needs just 90 of the remaining 939 outstanding delegates, while Sanders would need 850 of them.

Clinton and Democratic leaders have called on Sanders to fold his campaign and throw his support to Clinton. But the Vermont independent on Sunday showed no inclination to do so, saying on CNN’s “State of the Union” his campaign has been driving voter turnout and attracting voters who don’t like the candidates from either of the main parties.

Is Sander's "favorability rating" high because what he's proposing is so great...or is it high because Hillary is scared to attack him on it...and Trump loves having him running against Clinton and so he won't slam him for his pie in the sky promises either?

Sanders is only staying in a race he's already lost, to try and pressure Hillary Clinton into offering him a VP spot. She's not stupid. If she were to pick him as a VP, she would lose the election, and she knows that. Republicans would use his left wing radical policies, and his praising of Fidel Castro to defeat her. IOW--It wouldn't be about her policies it would be about his.

THE REASON FOR THE 714 DEMOCRAT SUPER DELEGATES IS 1984. They were instituted in an effort to avoid the next election disaster. This country is center, it always has been, it always will be. It's also founded on a hard work, pay your own way ethic. It's in our genetics. It will not elect far left or far right candidates, much less a recognized & confirmed socialist that is out there campaigning on free college tuition, adding an additional 29 trillion dollars to government spending when we're already 19 trillion in RED ink. The taxpayers of this country may be politically ignorant, but when it comes to their wallets, they won't elect a candidate that campaigns on new massive government spending. And they're not stupid enough to believe they won't get the bill.

So if Bernie Sanders were the nominee of this party, this is what election night would look like. Just move the blue part over to Vermont.

So instead of threatening Super Delegates, you should be Thanking them. And when Hillary Clinton slaughters Donald Trump--I imagine that the Republican Party will be looking to add some Super Delegates of their own. There's just too many candidates that can exploit the political ignorance of people in this country, (like what Trump and Sanders have been doing to gather support.) They can be very dangerous.

In fact, in these open primary states there has been a lot of Operation Bernie voting going on by Republicans looking for the weakest candidate to steam roll and bury on election night.

Realistically anyone that is still supporting Bernie Sanders at this time, is only working for the Donald Trump campaign. Sanders told his supporters after winning Oregon they had a steep hill to climb. It's Mount Everest without oxygen.

As to your question, will Bernie Sanders ego keep Democrats from winning back the Senate (only if he was picked for VP).

Hillary Clinton is going into this race with a 6 to 10 point advantage as the 1st woman Presidential nominee in this nations history. Women rule today as the largest voting block and they will be voting heavily for her. Half of Republican women will not cast a vote for Trump, and there a millions of Republican men that will be voting for her to keep Trump out of the oval office.

Mac Stipanovich: An open letter to my fellow Republicans

Trump and his supporters have chased off the largest minority population, Hispanics or 17% of the population is now solidly in Hillary Clinton's column. This when the GOP nominee needed 46% of this block to win the White House, Trump is polling at an Historic Negative 80%.
GOP Win Will Need More Than 40 Percent Of Latino 2016 Vote, Says Study
Poll: 8 in 10 Hispanics don’t like Trump
Latino conservatives: If Donald Trump is the nominee, we will not work to elect him
73 percent of women voters have an 'unfavorable' view of Donald Trump

These numbers are already indicating that Hillary Clinton is going to paint this country BLUE from sea to shining sea. Republicans will lose the senate, a ton of seats in the house, and down ballot races all across this country.

Republicans only hope was for a Bernie Sanders nominee.

Sanders polls better against Trump than Hillary.

No one should be paying any attention to National polling data--they have turned into a world wide disaster, and for good reason. No one picks up on unknown callers anymore, and most of us have cell phones that pollsters have no access too. Online polls are a joke, as in many one supporter is able to cast a vote several times for a certain candidate, and the majority will not bother with them as many are associated with donation sites. Text polls are the worst--where one person can vote a 100 times for the same candidate.
At any rate pollsters are forced to use very low samples. I saw one poll where there were 736 participants that were supposed to reflect the sentiment of over 170 million voters in this country. They're a JOKE. Here is a great article disclosing this:
Flaws in Polling Data Exposed as U.S. Campaign Season Heats Up

Trump also does very well in the polls, but oddly enough he also has the highest unfavorable rating of any candidate in recorded history. Which brings to obvious point that the only ones that are taking the time to answer polling questions are in fact Sanders & Trump supporters.
Gallup: Trump Has Highest Unfavorable Rating of Any Candidate Ever

Furthermore, the real poll is out, and it came to you from an actual ballot. Hillary Clinton is leading Bernie Sanders by 3 million+ votes, she is ahead of Trump by 1 million votes, and Bernie Sanders comes in last place--well behind both of them.

Which candidates tout the polls most often? None other than Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

I'll take Sanders over Clinton any day. She lied about Libya and Honduras, she is the love of Wall St., no way does she ever get my vote.

I don't give a rats ass who you like, or who you're going to vote for. I am giving you the stats. Sanders should have dropped out of this race after getting clobbered in New York. At that point there was no way he was going to get close to the nomination. Instead he sent out another mass email to his supporters for more campaign donations, telling them there was still a chance. He collected another 28 million that month, and the following week he got clobbered in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland. He still didn't drop out. He won Oregon last week, but he needed to win it by 88% and he didn't. Now he's telling his supporters it's still doable but they have a steep uphill climb. It's Mount Everest without oxygen.

Sanders has lost this race, get the F...k over it.

I don't care if think Sanders should drop out or not. If he gains more popularity and Super Delegates slide his why, then so be it.

There's no other reason you can be so fucking dumb as to think Hillary would consider putting Sanders on the ticket with her.
Debbie wouldn't allow it. The DNC knows a Clinton/Sander's ticket is a one way trip to a fucking historic DEM defeat.
Don't you have a shady spot to sit in?
Stay out of the sun. It's not good for you.
Anyone else find it interesting that the DNC didn't have another negro run?
I guess they've learned their lesson.
They knew running another negro would be the nail in the election coffin this time.

Wasserman doesn't tell Hilary Clinton what to do you ignorant assclown. AND, Sanders on her ticket will unite the party .. which is why your bitch ass is moaning about this.

.. and twinky motherfucker .. there has been a negro in the White House for the last 8 years .. two terms .. and Clinton has two more on her VP list .. stupid motherfucker. :0)

You don't know shit about politics and I highly doubt much of anything else.

Every day Sanders stays in the race more and more of his supporters are NEVER going to vote for Hillary.
Debbie and her merry band of insiders who told Biden and Warren to fuck off last fall are shitting themselves now.
The FBI is 100% certain to recommend some charges against Hillary. That's 100%.
That is the end of Hillary's political life whether Lynch goes ahead or not.
If Biden rides to the rescue it's 100% certain not a single Sander supporter will vote for Biden.
Thus handing the Presidency to Trump.
The 'negro firewall' will sit in the shade. No way they will vote for Biden.

I'm 100% sure that your 100% guarantees are worth 0%.

Not too likely to happen.

When a Prez picks a VP, the party usually wants a VP that can run for President after the Presidents two terms are up. Bernie is too old for that, just like the Gingrich rumor for Trump is not likely to happen because of his age.

My guess is that Donald Trump "hires" someone as his VP candidate that provides expertise that he himself doesn't have. It's what a savvy CEO does. Trump will be looking for someone with legislative skills and foreign policy experience. I imagine that was why he was meeting with Senator Bob Corker today. Corker would be a good fit as would Marsha Blackburn if he's looking to court the women's vote.

The nominee has her free choice as to whom she picks as her VP. Hillary Clinton is not stupid. She will not pick Bernie Sanders to be her VP. Republicans would use his radical policies and his praising of Fidel Castro to defeat her. IOW it would be about his policies not hers.

While you millennials have no clue as to who Fidel Castro was, I can assure you that the largest generation in this nation's history, baby boomers, remember him well and know what he did. He is responsible for the deaths of thousands of people, imprisoning thousands more for life, for just speaking out against him, executing scientists and teachers, seizing private property and assets, while killing the owners, while thousands more died in homemade rafts trying to make it to the Florida coast. Republicans would ram that information home. Bernie Sanders is sooooo much more than your average run of the mill socialists.
Bernie Sanders heaped praise on Fidel Castro in 1985 interview

And NO he doesn't have the RIGHT to take this to the Democrat National convention. On June 7th, Hillary Clinton will be declared the official nominee of the party--by winning enough delegates. She only needs 90 more, Bernie Sanders needs 847 more. IOW--Not even close, and Bernie Sanders isn't a Democrat. Candidates that lose on both sides of the isle do not give speechs at either parties Natiional Convention. The National Coventions are about the nominee who won, not the losers who lost.

One of Sanders' appointees is longtime anti-Israel activist James Zogby. Sanders’s choices include James Zogby, a pro-Palestinian activist who is president of the Arab-American Institute in Washington and a frequent commentator on Arab-Israeli issues. On Saturday Zogby...

He has the right to join Clinton on the ticket when she asks him to do so.

Get over it. :0)

Not too likely to happen.

When a Prez picks a VP, the party usually wants a VP that can run for President after the Presidents two terms are up. Bernie is too old for that, just like the Gingrich rumor for Trump is not likely to happen because of his age.

Clinton can pick whomever she wants, and picking Sanders makes a lot of sense on several levels.

In fact, the wheels are already turning towards a Clinton / Sanders ticket .. and Hillary is unveiling her new campaign slogan, "We are stronger together."

This is very likely to happen.

Maybe, but before that can happen, Sander's would have to drop out of the race first. Do you really believe he's the type of guy to do that?

If he would even consider it, it won't be anytime before the FBI releases their investigation results. Lord knows when that will be.

He has the right to take this to the convention. He has a right to see it through, you don't like it? Tough, get over it.

He has the right to join Clinton on the ticket when she asks him to do so.

"millennials ???" If you're talking to me, you're talking to the wrong person giving me that silly tag. :0) .. and I'm pretty sure I know more about Castro and Cuba then you do. It seems you don't know who Fulgencio Batista was and what Cuba was like under his rule .. what Cuba was like under the American and Mafia foot on its neck.

It seems that you don't know how poorly educated the Cuban people were before Castro .. or is it that you don't really care about how bad off the Cuban people were .. just the distorted history you've been told. If you'd like to discuss that history, be my guest.

Here's the problem .. despite Hillary winning the nomination fair and square, she's still a weak candidate and does not inspire youth. Bernie Sanders does.

More importantly, this is an opportunity to unite the party, inspire youth, and build a platform for the future away from the centrist / corporatist lock that is driving many away. It's an opportunity to get the party back to being the party of working Americans.

I think this is very likely to happen.

You're apparently not old enough to understand what the opposing party would do with any candidate that praised Fidel Castro--LOL. Prior to Fidel Castro Cuba was a thriving country with tourism everywhere. As soon as Castro took over it's citizens have lived in abject poverty, and actually still do today.

If the youth of this country cannot spot a fraud politician who has catered to them by promising them the moon and stars, and don't know it's bullshit, I don't want them anywhere near a voting booth.

Remember, when Ralph Nader did this, we got George W. Bush. Trump would be worse.

I think Bernie is beginning to mend fences....surely he wouldn't do that....not after he has been saying all along we need to defeat Trump. If he were to continue the way he was going he would be to blame if we ended up with the buffoon, Trumpf. I think he has more integrity than to let that happen.

And you think Trumpf does? You're more delusional if you think Trumpf, who probably hasn't been paying taxes and who used veterans as props to get support is worthy of the most important job in the world. Surely there are more Americans that can see through that phony than there are gullible people that believe every lie that comes out of that buffoon's mouth.
