Could Bernie's ego lose the presidency and take the Senate off the table?

What neither Sanders nor his supporters don't seem to grasp is that he has been supported by large numbers of republicans who would never vote for him in the general election. They support him in an effort to weaken Clinton.

Republicans Should Help Bernie Sanders to Weaken Hillary

Republicans Should Help Bernie Sanders to Weaken Hillary, by Myra Adams, National Review

Obama, Romney, Bill Clinton, and Bush .. both of them .. were all given boatloads of money from the rich and powerful. Obama set records with Wall Street money.

Doing the bidding of the rich is how people get to become president in America.

I'm supporting Sanders, he is the best of the three. Corruption and lies are all that is left after Sanders goes away.
What? And takes all his lies with him.
He said he will bring jobs back. They are now automated. They don't exist anymore. It's a lie. A big one.

And dumb asses like you talk about Hillary and she has nothing, she lies so much how can you trust anything she says?
Fact checking sites have found her to be the most honest.

30 years of Republicans terrorizing this one family. Instead of apologizing, they double down.

There you are being dishonest, fact checking sites show her behind Sanders in honesty. She lied about Libya, which has now become Obama's regret and she has lied about Honduras. Sorry, your choice for President has lied us into military operations . Hmmmm,,,,aren't those the things you bitched about with Bush.

Funny you can't even be honest with your candidates dishonesty.

:lol::lol::lol: Hilarious

I was a Kasich supporter actually. Trump's biggest problem yet biggest selling point is that he says what he thinks. He's SO not a politician.

I'm curious, Black...do you find Hillary to be honest?

I'm amused by Hillary's latest gambit...saying that she'll put Bill in charge of the economy. I guess that's supposed to make everyone think that will magically bring back the Dot Com Boom and a thriving economy. With a Clinton win we could be about to witness the implosion of a liberal myth...namely that Slick Willie somehow "created" that thriving economy and did so with tax increases!

I was a Kasich supporter actually. Trump's biggest problem yet biggest selling point is that he says what he thinks. He's SO not a politician.

I'm curious, Black...do you find Hillary to be honest?

No sir .. I do not.

.. and to add to your point about Trump .. much of what he "thinks" is either a lie or an incredibly stupid idea. NO, he's not a politician .. and he knows it.

Fact checking sites have found her to be the most honest.

30 years of Republicans terrorizing this one family. Instead of apologizing, they double down.

Always makes me laugh the cheap ways liberals will actually use the word terror. Of course, it's even more funny that you're calling Hillary "most honest."

Politifact is quite objective. It gives Pants on fire ratings to Democrats, Republicans, and everything in between. I do recall in the 2012 election, someone of GOP persuasion saying something like, "we don't believe in fact checks." Hmmmm.[/QUOTE

So what's your view on Hillary's "honesty", Jane?
Mine is that she'd say or do just about anything to win. She's been that way for a long long time.

I trust Hillary much more than I'd ever trust Mr. Trump, who can't seem to hold one opinion long enough to let it become public before he expresses the exact opposite of what he originally said about the same topic. If you believe vetted fact check sites, and I do, Hillary's honesty trumps Trump's any day of the week.

On the left, I think they have more worries about Bernie running as an Independent. He and his supporters are expressing outrage at the nomination process claiming that it's rigged.

Of course until Cruz dropped out, there was the same outrage on the right as well. But that's been calmed down quite a bit.

Sanders running as an Independent (which he actually is) would guarantee a President Trump.
Bernie isn't stupid. He knows a third party run would be a disasterous idea. If he had any confidence in such an idea, he would have run as an independent from the beginning.

Let's be honest here, Billy...I don't think even in his wildest dreams that Bernie Sanders thought his Presidential bid would last more than a few months. The only reason it has is that Hillary Clinton is a TERRIBLE candidate!
I agree even he is surprised, but to say his rise is solely because of Hillary's shortcomings is completely stupid. The strength of his campaign from the beginning has been unprecedented:

1) He's raised more in campaign donations than any republican candidate and he did it without the help of a super PAC. Had Hillary or any other republican gone this true grassroots route, their campaigns would be severely underfunded (obviously Trump's self funding is the exception to this). He also holds the record of the most individual campaign contributions than any US candidate in history.

2) Since the beginning he has beaten every republican in hypothetical match up polls.

3) He has the highest favorability rating than any candidate in the race.

Suck on that.

Is Sander's "favorability rating" high because what he's proposing is so great...or is it high because Hillary is scared to attack him on it...and Trump loves having him running against Clinton and so he won't slam him for his pie in the sky promises either?

Sanders is only staying in a race he's already lost, to try and pressure Hillary Clinton into offering him a VP spot. She's not stupid. If she were to pick him as a VP, she would lose the election, and she knows that. Republicans would use his left wing radical policies, and his praising of Fidel Castro to defeat her. IOW--It wouldn't be about her policies it would be about his.

THE REASON FOR THE 714 DEMOCRAT SUPER DELEGATES IS 1984. They were instituted in an effort to avoid the next election disaster. This country is center, it always has been, it always will be. It's also founded on a hard work, pay your own way ethic. It's in our genetics. It will not elect far left or far right candidates, much less a recognized & confirmed socialist that is out there campaigning on free college tuition, adding an additional 29 trillion dollars to government spending when we're already 19 trillion in RED ink. The taxpayers of this country may be politically ignorant, but when it comes to their wallets, they won't elect a candidate that campaigns on new massive government spending. And they're not stupid enough to believe they won't get the bill.

So if Bernie Sanders were the nominee of this party, this is what election night would look like. Just move the blue part over to Vermont.

So instead of threatening Super Delegates, you should be Thanking them. And when Hillary Clinton slaughters Donald Trump--I imagine that the Republican Party will be looking to add some Super Delegates of their own. There's just too many candidates that can exploit the political ignorance of people in this country, (like what Trump and Sanders have been doing to gather support.) They can be very dangerous.

In fact, in these open primary states there has been a lot of Operation Bernie voting going on by Republicans looking for the weakest candidate to steam roll and bury on election night.

Realistically anyone that is still supporting Bernie Sanders at this time, is only working for the Donald Trump campaign. Sanders told his supporters after winning Oregon they had a steep hill to climb. It's Mount Everest without oxygen.

As to your question, will Bernie Sanders ego keep Democrats from winning back the Senate (only if he was picked for VP).

Hillary Clinton is going into this race with a 6 to 10 point advantage as the 1st woman Presidential nominee in this nations history. Women rule today as the largest voting block and they will be voting heavily for her. Half of Republican women will not cast a vote for Trump, and there a millions of Republican men that will be voting for her to keep Trump out of the oval office.
Poll: Nearly half of Republican women wouldn't vote for Trump
I’ll Take Hillary Clinton Over Donald Trump
Mac Stipanovich: An open letter to my fellow Republicans

Trump and his supporters have chased off the largest minority population, Hispanics or 17% of the population is now solidly in Hillary Clinton's column. This when the GOP nominee needed 46% of this block to win the White House, Trump is polling at an Historic Negative 80%.
GOP Win Will Need More Than 40 Percent Of Latino 2016 Vote, Says Study
Poll: 8 in 10 Hispanics don’t like Trump
Latino conservatives: If Donald Trump is the nominee, we will not work to elect him
73 percent of women voters have an 'unfavorable' view of Donald Trump

These numbers are already indicating that Hillary Clinton is going to paint this country BLUE from sea to shining sea. Republicans will lose the senate, a ton of seats in the house, and down ballot races all across this country.

Republicans only hope was for a Bernie Sanders nominee.

At some point, BAC..."moving" by Clinton should be seen by any rational person as nothing more than political theater. She's been given millions by the rich and powerful because they believe she will give THEM what they desire once she becomes President. Sanders is attractive to progressives because Bernie hasn't been bought like Clinton obviously has. Now the question becomes...will Sanders supporters turn out for Hillary...someone that many of them now see as having stolen a fixed Democratic race...in November? I see a problem looming for the Clinton campaign.

What neither Sanders nor his supporters don't seem to grasp is that he has been supported by large numbers of republicans who would never vote for him in the general election. They support him in an effort to weaken Clinton.

No one should be paying any attention to National polling data--they have turned into a world wide disaster, and for good reason. No one picks up on unknown callers anymore, and most of us have cell phones that pollsters have no access too. Online polls are a joke, as in many one supporter is able to cast a vote several times for a certain candidate, and the majority will not bother with them as many are associated with donation sites. Text polls are the worst--where one person can vote a 100 times for the same candidate.
At any rate pollsters are forced to use very low samples. I saw one poll where there were 736 participants that were supposed to reflect the sentiment of over 170 million voters in this country. They're a JOKE. Here is a great article disclosing this:
Flaws in Polling Data Exposed as U.S. Campaign Season Heats Up

Trump also does very well in the polls, but oddly enough he also has the highest unfavorable rating of any candidate in recorded history. Which brings to obvious point that the only ones that are taking the time to answer polling questions are in fact Sanders & Trump supporters.
Gallup: Trump Has Highest Unfavorable Rating of Any Candidate Ever

Furthermore, the real poll is out, and it came to you from an actual ballot. Hillary Clinton is leading Bernie Sanders by 3 million+ votes, she is ahead of Trump by 1 million votes, and Bernie Sanders comes in last place--well behind both of them.

Which candidates tout the polls most often? None other than Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump.

  • Sanders wants Democrat platform to support 'Palestinian rights'

Bernie Sanders wants to make “Palestinian rights” more of a priority in the Democratic Party platform, according to a report.

The Washington Post reported on Friday that Sanders, the Vermont Independent Senator seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, wants to see changes to a platform to better reflect Palestinian aspirations for statehood.

Sanders, the only Jewish candidate to ever have won major party nominating contests, has throughout the campaign defended Israel’s right to security, but also has called for an end to “settlement expansion”, and has criticized what he has said has been Israel’s “disproportionate response” to Palestinian terrorism.

His grasp of the facts vis-à-vis the Arab-Israeli conflict were recently called into question after he falsely claimed Israel killed “10,000 innocents” during its 2014 war with Gazan terrorist groups. …

Sanders polls better against Trump than Hillary.

I'll take Sanders over Clinton any day. She lied about Libya and Honduras, she is the love of Wall St., no way does she ever get my vote.

I don't give a rats ass who you like, or who you're going to vote for. I am giving you the stats. Sanders should have dropped out of this race after getting clobbered in New York. At that point there was no way he was going to get close to the nomination. Instead he sent out another mass email to his supporters for more campaign donations, telling them there was still a chance. He collected another 28 million that month, and the following week he got clobbered in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland. He still didn't drop out. He won Oregon last week, but he needed to win it by 88% and he didn't. Now he's telling his supporters it's still doable but they have a steep uphill climb. It's Mount Everest without oxygen.

Sanders has lost this race, get the F...k over it.

I wouldn't put too much money on that. Sanders is staying in the race because the FBI investigation isn't over quite yet.

If Sanders were to drop out now, and the FBI recommends that Hillary should have charges brought against her, it would have been the dumbest mistake of his life.

If the FBI decides that no criminal charges should be brought against Hillary and Sanders still keeps on, then you might be correct.

However, if the White House refuses to charge Hillary, or Hillary drops out and they bring in Biden to take the nomination, that would rip the Democrat party in half.

I'm sure they always use oxygen...it's just that they forage instead of taking it with them.

You worries are unfounded. Nader didn't run as a democrat. Sanders will eventually run out of steam. When he does that will change the numbers the media is polling right now. The vast majority of Sanders supporters will fall in line with Clinton and the "neck and neck" race the media is railing about NOW will go back to a huuuge Hillary advantage. The reason it "appears" grim for the abrasive Mrs Clinton at the moment is that the GOP side is settled and the dem side is split. The media fails to observe the obvious as it "looks" like Hillary is losing to The Donald and it gets the incredibly stupid American voters all in a tizzy and the media can sell more ad space telling this stupid lie. When it is just Clinton vs Trump we will have an accurate situation to poll the public on. Bernie won't be the dem choice even long before the convention. He won't even come close to getting the delegates to steal the nomination or force a contested or brokered convention. He is just dragging this out to get his stupid pie in the sky message in front of the media.

Or he's playing the ticket to be the nominee if Hillary is indicted. I say it's a good bet by Sanders.

I can see how you and others would believe that Sanders is hoping Clinton gets charged with a crime between now and November. I would hope that the FBI isn't playing such a cynical role. If they are then they are doing a huge disservice to American politics. If Hillary has broken a/some laws that would disqualify her as a candidate for president then they should have fast tracked her to an orange jump suit. If Obama has had a part in dragging heels of the FBI investigation then he should be charged and convicted of obstruction of justice as well.

Sure, that will happen, with a justice department run by Obama with one of his minions in charge.

All the FBI can do is investigate and "recommend" charges be brought. Again, it's DumBama's justice department, so they have the choice of charging Hillary or not.

If they decide to bring charges, she would still be qualified to run for President, but it's unlikely she would. If they decide not to charge her, then it would make the entire Democrat party look corrupt. Top FBI officials would resign. Right-wing media outlets would have a picnic with such an outcome. Hillary's name would be mud to most Americans.

I don't believe Sander's is evil enough to "hope" Hillary is indicted or recommend to be indicted. But it's a good move on his part to stay in the race in the event. Now if that would happen, and the Democrats decide to throw Biden or Warren in for the nomination, you will see such outrage by the Sander's supporters that it would guarantee a President Trump.
It is not conceivable that the FBI will have spent this much time and money without 100% knowing from day one Hillary is guilty of multiple felony crimes.
You all wait.
Once the FBI recommends charges be brought against her the Hillary ass lickers will scream he FBI is CORRUPT! and in the hands of the evil REPS!
And Hillary is "innocent until proven guilty!".
At that point it's irrelevant whether Lynch goes forward or not.
It's only relevant to Lynch's political future whether she goes ahead with charges or not.
If she is seen to be dragging her feet until after the election then her future possibility of running for the presidency is gone forever. Which BTW is Lynch's number one ambition. Has been since she was in law school.
Felonies from what?
You will know pretty soon.
Then you can scream your stupid head off that the FBI is part of the famous "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" against the dear old innocent granny Hillary.

Every day Sanders stays in the race more and more of his supporters are NEVER going to vote for Hillary.
Debbie and her merry band of insiders who told Biden and Warren to fuck off last fall are shitting themselves now.
The FBI is 100% certain to recommend some charges against Hillary. That's 100%.
That is the end of Hillary's political life whether Lynch goes ahead or not.
If Biden rides to the rescue it's 100% certain not a single Sander supporter will vote for Biden.
Thus handing the Presidency to Trump.
The 'negro firewall' will sit in the shade. No way they will vote for Biden.
