No. I simply understand that you pay things back, not by forcing the people to labor more, but by cutting the spending that is likely 80% unnecessary and merely going to the friends of those in power.

Say we take in $100 and we are currently spending $130. If that's the case we are going into debt for $30.
If we cut the spending from $130 to $60. And we take in another $100. We can not only pay off the $30 debt we had, but we will have a $10 surplus.
I am very surprised I have to explain this. If you spend less than what you take in, then you can use the remaining money to pay off debt.
And it's not like this is impossible to do. We simply need to stop pretending we can spend like a drunken sailior on heroin.

if we cut our yearly spending by 1 TRILLION a year, we still will go in to debt by 400 billion a year....

if we skip out on our bills then our credit rating hits the crapper, for everyone....interest rates go sky high.....so instead of taxes it will be interest rates that strap us and keeps us in the crapper only worse, the sewer.
